Good price, I have been usinf this shaver for a year or so now and I thought it was good (which it is) but I got the braun 380 wet and dry shaver for christmas and I can not believe the difference. The 380 is a lot smother to use and seems to cut better too, it also feels better to hold. Even when using a new foil on the older 390cc it still is not as good.

If you can afford the 380 get that one and leave this on the shelf. It will be worth it. although this 390cc will do the job too.

Can be as low as £29 at Amazon.

Never worth more than £50 imo.

This has never been less than £51 at Amazon (and that was for about 12 hours).

Fair enough.

The RRP of this one is £169.99, whereas the 380 is £139.99.

Probably due to the Clean and Renew feature.

The 380 is also on offer, £69.99 at Boots. (Same as Amazon)

May be worthwhile holding off if you want to get the 380, looks like it's recently been down to around £55 at Amazon.

Though this is the model up for (currently) £30 less.

Make your own mind up.

I'd have thought my 3 years as a member and 120+ deal posts would be enough :)

I'll post my receipt regardless.

My mistake - Tesco Direct was where I got them for £26 previously. There is an old HUKD thread about this. £50 was the typical price for these then.

Bought 3 at the time, as the cleaning fluid and the foils cost more!

Camelcamelcamel isn't THAT accurate and appears to rely on people doing searches to 'feed' it, because some items on Amazon don't even show any data when you search. Try it and see.

will check out my local and give one a try

I had this a couple of months ago with another shaver. The answer then was that the item had been bought from a Boots Outlet store and not a High Street normal Boots.

It was a normal Boots store at a retail park.

Is this better than the "Philips HQ7390/17 Williams F1 Mains Rechargeable Shaver" that was on here a while ago from Amazon?

I bought that but could still return it if I want.

Sorry, but voting cold based on the fact that they seem to get terrible write ups (having fallen for the weekend stubble, no problem adverts I looked for one - thank goodness I read the reviews). Even people who have used Braun for years were ditching them. Ended up going for a Remington trimmer based on reviews & never regretted it once.

but the P next to the price on the receipt means price over-ride, meaning it must be a store specific price? I wanted one of these for my dad but would only pay £40!

Went into the Aylesbury and high Wycombe stores today they are at 169.99

You need to buy the appletiser and the shaver together to get the discount! :P
