We know a couple of doctors and they use these.

However, we got ours in Tesco using double **** points (comes under the baby section!) and got it for £20.

Heat for this price though.

Haha that really made me chuckle , was it a play on words or a genuine error :)

Great deal, quick and accurate and a no brainer at this price. Despite the volume produced covers are rarely available cheaply unfortunately but for your own family use they don't absolutely need to be changed every use (unless the person has/ suspected to have an ear infection), and as long as there not gummed up with ear wax they continue to read well for a long time.

This is the best there is on the market! If you take a print out of the item on amazon and take it to Mothercare they will price match it, they've done it quite a few times for me :)

We use them at work, used correctly there extremely reliable and by my understanding accurate. Of course if it's not inserted into the ear far enough it will under read, erroneous readings can also be had using a dirty waxxed up cover also.

This was exactly my experience with the one I bought from Amazon about 12 months ago. I remember discussing it with someone on here. I stil use it, although mostly because my 20 month old see's it as a novelty!

P.S, £10 for 200 covers is VERY expensive.

Wow, has it really become that difficult to stick a thermometer under your tongue nowadays?oO

£3.75 delivered, no covers needed, good rating, and you can put it up your bottom just in case you want a rectal temperature (don't ask me why, i really don't know :p ): http://www.amazon.co.uk/Daffodil-HPC300-Digital-Medical-Thermometer/dp/B004GXXEUU/ref=sr_1_3?s=baby&ie=UTF8&qid=1373897785&sr=1-3&keywords=thermometer
