Months free trial, Netflix, job done.

Give the £65 to charity, everyone's a winner.

(apart from the people making/selling the BluRay)

Is there episode audio commentary?

I remember when the wire was on Virgin media and nobody saw point in buying box sets. Then it went off for 5 years and has only just come back to tv via sky. Breaking bad will be exactly the same from middle of next year. This is a fantastic set to own and use! Will never be worth anything as a resale, but as something to have, if you can afford it and want it, brilliant.

Almost got the standard bluray box set for £55 in tesco today. This looks much better value.

Isn't Netflix for people who call discs DVDs or spell Blu-ray as "Blue-ray"? (_;)
#11
Lots of bad reviews regarding unplayable disks. Not sure I'd risk my time and money unless there was a guarantee that the quality issues had been sorted.

If it's anything like the standard Blu-ray set (it looks like the discs are the same), then it'll be on about 2/3rds of the episodes.

good price

Gawd I loved this series - Getting harder and harder not to buy it.

Still a bit of sore point that I never bought the Oil Drum set they had last year though LOL
#15
HMV.ie (Xtravision) were selling this a couple of weeks ago for £50 so its hardly an amazon exclusive

:puts hands up:

Yup - Watch things more than once right here.

Fair enough, not everything - And the rate at which I buy movies has declined significantly as I got older and the subscription to Netflix and NowTV came in to play - But, yeah, still buy them.

Much as I love Netflix and it's ease of use, blu-ray do hold a better quality video and audio stream - If it's a TV show or a Movie I really like then I've no issue buying it at all.

I believe the standard blu-rays come with UV codes, not sure if this version does, unless anybody knows, so not really as good value in my opinion if not, would prefer to have the UV option as well.

Fantastic show! Don't have blu-ray and don't have £65 as I'm all spent up but will vote hot. How many years has BB been out wondering if they'll do a special anniversary edition soon? :)

Really want the Barrel Edition but it's looking like that's gonna be a USA only release and it's double the price on Amazon so gonna have to get this edition instead!
#25
What extra do you get, is there more than a tin box?

I could not find much info apart from the tin box, so I bought the standard blu ray set for £49 off ebay.

2008 - 2013.
Maybe a anniversary set in a few years. The show has only just stopped collecting awards.

Every episode is on Netflix for £5.99 per month if you want to pay it off monthly... X);)

pre ordered the special edition steelbooks on zavvi for release next year so this isnt for me. But is a good deal.
#32
bought it, thanks OP! and with my bespoke voucher brought it down to £55!
#33
I know, every time BB is mentioned within a minute someone says Netflix, but, I don't see the point in buying it when it is in fact on Netflix. With decent picture quality, unless you live in the outer Hebrides. Seems a lot for the series and a tin

Yes there are some people that have crappy internet still. i.e. < 2Mbps which makes Netflix not really viable.

NOW THAT WAS QUICK! These HUKD peeps are like cyber-ninjas!

P.S. I don't mean to be offensive to ninjas, japanese people, or cyborgs. I'm just saying.

No he's right. This was £50 at one point during one of the Black Friday deals. It's certainly not on anymore though.
