Walt (two-time Emmy® award winner Bryan Cranston) and Jesse (Aaron Paul) are in way over their heads in Breaking Bad: The Complete Second Season. As their partnership reaches new heights, Walt and Jesse begin to see the extremes of the drug trafficking business. Their trademark blue meth is making them rich, but it's getting more difficult than ever for Walt to conceal the truth from his wife Skyler (Anna Gunn), his son Walter Jr. (RJ Mitte), and his DEA agent brother-in-law Hank (Dean Norris). Walt struggles to maintain control of his life as he contends with vicious drug dealers, an increasingly distant wife and son, the impending birth of his daughter, and a strung-out business partner – all while battling terminal lung cancer. Breaking Bad: The Complete Second Season includes cinematography from Michael Slovis as well as Emmy® award-winning editing from Lynne Willingham, A.C.E. Executive Produced by Vince Gilligan and Mark Johnson.

Fantastic series.

I ordered this the other day after picking up the first season for £5. Slightly cheaper at Zavvi (atleast it was a couple of days ago) but I'd rather pay and extra 10p and actually get it this year.

Still undecided on this one. Depressing, but it picked up during the last couple of episodes.

I can't remember any better TV than all three series of Breaking Bad. For any first-timers, make sure you watch series one first.

This was £7.49 earlier today!

Dark, thrilling, well crafted, a perfect TV show, the best show currently in production.

I dont think it consistently reaches the heights of The Wire or Mad Men or Deadwood but of the current TV shows Ive seen only Mad Men is better written.

I'm on Season 2 of Mad Men and I agree with you; nothing "big" has to happen in one of the episodes and it still keeps you completely captivated.

Worth it for the tortoise scene alone oO

I got a little bored of Mad Men half way through season 1. By your comments, I guess it's worth persevering with?

As for Breaking Bad. In my opinion it's one of the best things I've seen. Watched all three seasons in about two weeks, and to be honest the only bad episode was the episode with the fly towards the end of season three. What was the point of that episode?

breaking bad is the best thing on tv only episodes where i thought wtf was the plane crash but its pretty consistant from what i hear mad men is like 6 feet under and nothing happens , why would you want to watch people talking ? id rather talk to someone myself and sopranos (best thing on tv ) lots of talking but lots of other things going on , i just dont get how people are entertained by talking , if this made sense good if not ive had a few so kapow and be dazzled by the bright lights

Where do you get that logic from? Here's us chronologically retarded novices thinking the 3rd season was the best entry point

+1 Best thing out of states in ages and justly one of few to not get canned.

Don't know what dodoegg1 is on about, all three seasons are excellent and you'd you shooting yourself in the foot if you didn't start and watch from season one

I can't tell whether that was sarcasm or a joke!? There are plenty of people who start watching a TV series half way through or at the start of a second series. This deal is for series 2 so I was highlighting that this is definitely not the time to start 'giving it a go'.

I wholeheartedly disagree.
Mad Men is beautifully filmed and atmospheric but its artistic pretense hides how shallow and underwritten it actually is.
Breaking Bad is far daring, deep and thrilling and it's by far the best drama on TV since The Wire

Crikey! What kind of inferiority complex must one have to read that innocent comment as patronizing?
All he was saying is that though sometimes, people tend to pick up a series from whichever point, this is not one of those shows where you should do that.
No need to let us all know just how much you're rude and bitte

I don't know. S1 & S4 are the best written seasons of Mad Men, and S2 & S3 are quite awful - Underwritten, boring, humorless and pretentious and if S1 you got bored you... :/

I'll say this, I bought seasons 1+2 of Mad Men on blu ray cheap, blind buy based on the overwhelming reviews and love for the show elsewhere, and I agree with people as far as saying Jon Hamm and John Slattery are amazing, but the show, I watched 3.5 seasons of it and I have no idea what it's about, what we're watching, just a bunch of people smoking and drinking with some even blander, if possible, 60's home life scenes intertwined. Just boring, and I can understand if I'm not the right kind of person for it, but the amount of critical acclaim flabberghasts me.

I absollutely love breaking bad.. yeah it's a bit depressing at times... disagree about the fly episode.. yeah you could wonder wtf was the point in that, but to me, the acting of Bryan Cranston in that episode was superb. OMG the turtle! oO .. looking forward to the next series.

Oh and I love Six Feet Under too - i love watching people talking lol.

Just looked on Amazon reduced to £8.87. Even more of a bargain.

Finished watching last night and cannot wait until series 3 is released.
