A note of caution. When previously trying to order from this company I saw that the plasma tv was listed as 'in stock' so I went ahead with the order, credit card details etc etc. I completed the sale only to be informed by their system that the item wasn't in stock and would I like to choose something else. I wanted a specific product so the answer was no - but of course I'd already passed on my credit card details, including cvn. This was just a word to the wise.

Never had a problem with this retailer and ordered 3 large Toshiba panels from them.

you mean rebadged samsung or sharp (well ok i know there's more to a tv than a panel)...dont understand why people think sony are so good....another reason to buy plasmas over an LCD is that plasmas are mainly built in house, lcds are generally made up of components from 3rd parties (not good for the long term imo as it will mean less choice in the future).......imo sony are good at marketing for their generally average/rubbish products
no need for 1080p on a tv this size...what counts is quality of components
id rather pay a little extra for the panasonic plasma

I feel totally the opposite about Sony. Their marketing is rubbish. Look at PSP, superb product outsold by the ridiculous DS. Cant think of any decent Sony advertising/PR.
Like most people I buy Sony because their products are top notch for reliability. If I chose I could still play with my PS1 on my 29" Sony CRT - their stuff never seems to break!
