As seen on the gadget show, these watches are now appearing on the arms of celebs everywhere, but here's the best bit....Play are donating £1.50 from the sale of each of the charity versions to Save the Children....a stocking filler at a low price....and even better when you use the 20% off voucher (the watches are classed as accessories in the clothing section)...so everyone wins.

From the Play web site:

Breo Sport `Roam¿ watch product description
Breo Sport's multi-functional Roam watch is a statement of design and quality. It is designed to the highest engineering standards and feels comfortable on the wrist under any conditions. Awarded the Good Design award 2008 and set to be the fastest selling wristwatch of 2009.
The science: Breo `Roam¿ watch is made with a material called Tourmaline. Tourmaline is a naturally occurring mineral widely used as a semi-precious gemstone responsible for many beneficial health effects including:
¿ Increased concentration
¿ Natural detoxification of the body
¿ Improved sleep, relaxation and meditation
¿ Improved vitality and mood

Achieving celebrity status in both the sport and fashion world `Roam bands are a unique low cost purchase. So if you are an extreme sports enthusiast, glamour¿s high street shopper or simply want something that little bit different, trust in Breo.

Breo Sport is aiming is raise a minimum of 1 million pounds by selling the special edition Save the Children Breosport wristwatches. We have dedicated this edition to Save the Children, as they want to raise awareness that a child dies every 3 seconds from preventable diseases such as pneumonia, diarrhea, malaria and measles. So time really is ticking! Our bands will highlight this cause and together we can make a difference.

£1.50 from every special edition sale goes to Save the Children donated by Breo and Play.com

Save the Children is a registered charity England and Wales (213890) Scotland (SC039570).

ooooops....you didn't read it properly....I am specifically talking about the Red Save the Children special charity editions that for each one purchased, Play and Breo give £1.50 to save the children...and as I said you get a cheap stocking filler (£8.00) and feel good factor for raising money for a very good charity....unless you want to vote cold because its to save kids....?

total order (incl postage) £13.98 and not currently in stock...2 to 3 days possible delay (if they're out of stock at Play, expect there's a run on them) so you might not get black here either....so either way...practically half price at Play...

just read a few of your other posts Tara....are you a "wind up" merchant...
Black Hawk Down, The Likely Lads...."you're 'avin a laff"

just give a charity a tenner
#17
If you must have the watch consider one of these for about £4 and then you can give the difference to charity.

just give a charity a tenner

fair comment....a tenner's not a lot to give to a charity....but not everyone on here can do that...but if you do, register for gift aid on your fave charity web site...it gets the charity a bit more...the government pays them the tax relief or something....
if you want a stocking filler....and £1.50 to go to charity....buy a red one....

agreed....but a lot of the celebs and stars have been seen with them....remember "Make Poverty History" wristbands?....this could go the same way....besides you get a waterproof watch with big digits (easy to read) great for joggers, sports fanatics....oh yes....and probably posers

They're exactly the same watch as the BreoSport ones. You can see the backside of them both:-
