I'm hopeful having expensive ones now means there might be more from bresser in a few weeks, it seems in the past lidl had smaller cheaper bresser binoculars.
#2
what were the previous cheaper ones 8x40?
#3
Good for star gazing?

Review from last year are on this thread http://www.forum.popastro.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=18162&start=30 I'm tempted to try them

Bresser binoculars are much better then you would think, certainly worth keeping a pair in the car.

Someone called Graham claims to have bought a pair of 8*60 for £10 at lidl just before mid-march. I would guess that he is mistaken and means one of the smaller sets that aren't available atm?

Is it deal in all stores at the same time? My local store doesn't seem to have it listed as on offer!

I don't know. I would have thought it was in all UK stores. I think it may finish today also. Hopefully they'll have some more smaller bresser binoculars in the next few weeks.

Thanks breathtakingben for posting this, I've got the last piece picked up at the local store. Unfortunately they had case and one lens cover missing. But then I got it for discounted price - 15 quid :p I'll check in the evening how the collimation is and everything else.

I was thinking of buying astronomy bins (25x100) but these 60mm objective can be a start (should see at least the moon well <3 ). As things progress, I would like to build a collection & make DIY parallelogram mount for the giant ones X)

I'm glad you Ben-efitted. :)

Time to expire, I think Lidl only keep such items in store for a week.

don't expire yet. Might be of interest to some.

by the way I noticed it has bak7 glass and not bak4. My Nikon 10x25 sportstar was giving quite comparable performance when viewing moon, which was quite bright anyway. Was bit confusing - as 25 mm vs 60 mm, the difference should be substantial. Also stars were not pointed at all with Bresser. BUT when in the evening / slightly grey condition, Bresser with 60 mm were clearly forming such nice and bright image! Worth it.

I've ordered Universal Binoculars Telescope Spotting Tripod Adapter. Already have a Hama tripod, which should be able to handle this. I think handheld viewing with it was not so much fun.
