Looks good but the majority of reviewers on amazon gave it a one star review with lots of reports of leaks.

Had two of these, second one in warranty because the first clear plastic cracked and it leaked and guess what? The same happened to the second one...Gave up in the end and bought a different make kettle. Cold.

    Glass kettles are NOT good...

I have had one before. Look on the inside of your kettle, there will be limescale etc build up. Even if you use a water filter to fill the kettle, like I do, it still appears.

On a glass kettle, which look great at first, after a few months this starts to become very apparent and really affects the visual appearance of the glass....

Its a pain to clean, I tried everything and could not get it perfect.

That only applies if you live in a hard water area. I've never seen limescale inside a kettle or appliance.

Had one of these - really liked it but the lid broke so that it was dangerous to use and couldn't be fixed so had to bin it even though it still worked... poor design flaw on an otherwise cool product

Have had 2 of these and they look lovely but the lid catch broke on both, luckily they were still within warranty (1 year) and after the second kettle broke I changed make and model. I actually had paid full price when bought first from John Lewis.

Erm wrong on the hard water debate..I live in the lake district and we have the best water in the country flowing from our taps...Never get limescale, dont even know what limescale is lol
Ive had two of these kettles and both cracked and leaked. All them bad reviews dont lie.
You are either lucky or dont use the kettle much!

And I've never seen a kettle without limescale, what's your point?...

Also aren't kettles normally 3kW? You'll be waiting an age for a 1.8kW kettle to boil...
