Ordered yesterday for collection today, for once the Argos " you pay the price on the day of collection " has worked in my favour as it was £73.99.

Hmmmm... The day after I finally bit the bullet on an air fryer and bought the Philips deal for £69.99...

Anyone any thoughts on what is the better deal?

think you made the right choice. The breville is just a halogen cooker.

It says its a halogen heated fryer ?? Im looking for a new fryer but the price of this is similar to a normal fryer as ive never used one of these before im not sure what quality of cooking it will have ?? Anyone have any advice or reviews of this product or other fryers?

The air fryer uses hot circulated air plus teaspoon of oil if needed. The breville uses halogen heat plus a teaspoon of oil if needed. Both the same just different 'energy sources'

Says I can only pick it up Saturday, will I still pay £59.99 or will it go up?

T&C 4.3 a) If you reserve a product and the price changes before you get to store to collect the item you will pay the price you reserved the item at. Sorted then.

Ive been reading reviews etc about all the fryers best one for chips is meant to be the actifry ... after watching youtube videos of the machine it sounds like a hairdryer when operating and takes 30 mins to make chips !!! 30 mins !!!! No wonder these machines are all halfed in price!!

Finally tried ours out the other day, took 20 mins to make chips & they were fine.

30 mins is for a 1kg load of chips, even a deep fat fryer couldn't manage that in less than 30 mins from initial switch on.
