Four times faster than a standard kettle, the Breville Hot Cup boils and dispenses enough water for that perfect cup of tea in a matter of seconds. Because it only boils the amount it needs, it only uses the energy it needs and this in turn can save you money.

Using the Breville Hot Cup is easy, all you need to do is fill the water reservoir up with cold water, slot it back into place and switch on the on/off switch. This will light up with a blue LED light when in use, so you always know what's happening. The water boils in just over 30 seconds and dispenses into the cup you have placed below. It doesn't matter if you put more water than you need in the reservoir – the Breville Hot Cup will only ever boil enough water for one mug, saving you time, energy and money. Even if you need to make another cup straight after, it's still faster and cheaper than using a standard kettle.

The Breville Hot Cup is also really easy to keep clean and just needs descaling like a standard kettle. It also has an easy-clean drip tray that holds up to a mug of water before it needs emptying.

The Breville Hot Cup is ideal for everyone but would be especially good for offices or those who work from home as it delivers boiling water in seconds without using up too much energy

The differences are that on the 'newer' model you can vary the cup size upto 150ml (which is how much this one boils anyway) and there is a larger water tank on it.

Not worth an extra £15 IMO.. I simply bought the 'right size' of cup. :{
