Would be a great buy if it had a built in water filter, buying this would require us to buy a water filter as well.

Not voted.

What is wrong with you lot. This is a good price for an excellent product, had one for a year, great gadget. Yes, you might be able to find it a quid or two cheaper elsewhere, but if you can't this is a good deal

daviebroon... Why so aggresive?:And if you think you can find one cheaper, where is your proof, and to top it, isn't this forum about spreading the word for good deals, so post your better one.

Here you go, you can post this deal yourself if you like. If you don't have a Macro card, you can borrow mine

Slightly hypocritical of yourself, given your closing statement is quite aggressive. Deal shown. Jog on.

I don't think Makro show any of their offers online, sorry. It's all on the leaflets. The leaflet I took this from states it is valid until 25th Jan 2011. Got the leaflet through the post today, so perhaps not shown online yet? Not sure.

Makros 'specials' link is currently out of date, showing current deals as the 28th Dec.

Welcome back. Can you not read the above posts?

Add the VAT and the petrol it will take to get there and Bingo! Why not put it up as a fresh post?
#19
Just searched the ref product code on your picture/leaflet 333282 on site and this is what it finds

So price is invalid really when ref code actually shows up item at higher price on site.

I've read all posts in here and i'm not so zure davie is the one in the wrong here. He said he'd seen it cheaper elsewhere and would look for the deal and post back, which he has.

From what i csn see it was actually Nibrows that was on the attack, nitpicking at everything davie posted up in here before everyone else joined in doing the same.

The kettle isn't even that good to start with do we really need to fight and argue of a couple of quid like this?

He hasn't posted a cheaper one. The one at Makro is on their site but it is more expensive as you need to add 20% vat and, I reckon the offer he posted is in store only. So to his 24.99 we must add 20% VAT so the kettle comes to £29.99, Unless you live next door to a Makro add the gas to get there and I am sure you will see it is more expensive. The 34.99 one that is shown online, well, is just more expensive.

So, without need he took a good offer, and with his unfounded comments, caused it to be voted cold. Finally, and re-reading this, he acted both arrogantly and mistakenly in response to the poster, and then spitefully expired the offer which I then had unexpired.

Your opinion on the product is neither here nor there, and I wish peeps would understand that this forum votes (or used to vote) on whether the post was a good deal, not whether they liked the colour/style and so forth. It is a good kettle. I have had one for over a year, although I would not recommend it if you have more than 2 hot drink people in the house because an ordinary kettle would be as cheap and faster.

Now you are fully aware of the facts, I will draw the line.

and the naked sarcasm in this :

I think you really need to grow up and lose the paranoia you seem to be experiencing as it would take more than just one forum member clicking the expire button for the deal to become expired and as he has said he didn't click the expire button you need to focus the blame in someone elses direction and apologise for your false accusation.

I've read all the posts in here and none of his posts were arrogant, he said he knew it was a little cheaper somewhere else but couldn't remember where and then after taking the time to actually look for the cheaper deal he posted the details of it up in here which was intended to help those wanting it cheaper, so what if that meant this deal received cold votes after that afterall it wasn't the best deal available!

So what if you don't live anywhere near a makro store, some do and would have benefitted from the deal he posted up in here at £24.99. If you're not lucky enough to have a makro near you then that's just your tough luck I'm afraid, you cannot argue that £24.99 in a store near you (if you have one near you) is not cheaper than the £33.49 deal here, else your maths is pretty poor.

BTW I think paranoia has something to do with everyone being against you, I don't see what it has to do with my replies, I am just being entertained. Also there have been no personal remarks from me on this thread, and I resent you bringing the tone lower by casting aspersions on my mental health and ability to do maths. Read the following very carefully:-

Makro add VAT. so £24.99 + 20% is £30 (this is instore). Add on the travelling and I think you might find it it is a bit more expensive than the posted deal unless it is within walking distance. Also we are comparing apples with pears eg an online deal with free delivery and an offline deal. If you go through to the link to the item on the Makro website, further up in this thread, £41.99 is the price inc vat. I am not a maths genius, but anyone can see that the posted deal is cheaper.

PS,, why not post it separately and see what happens, put your money where your mouth is.
