A roofer recommended this to me a while back. Looked at his work with this and it did look good.

Flashband? You mean seal with paint and put tape on top?
This product isn’t currently available to buy online.

will this work on a flat rubber roof?

there's a section on the url I posted about rubber roofs. have a read. has different ideas depending on the damage.

flashband very useful for Cove areas but for splits on flat roof, I'd use the acrylic.

No, I mean put the flashband over the split then put the fibre acrylic on top. Fibre acrylic on it's own painted over a split is only indicated for an 'emergency' seal. Its the summer weather that does the most damage as the roof is constantly expanding and contracting. The fibres in the acrylic material make it resistant to cracking but not as resistant as flashband IMO. Acrylic over flashband gives a bit of extra protection to the flashing against UV and makes the job look tidy.

Go on https://www.roofingsuperstore.co.uk and type sealacryl in the search box. Not sure what happened with the link posted

I buy this stuff from wickes, when it's on offer or wickes have a 15% promotion you can normally get it for around the same kind of price give or take, I normally buy the black as it blends better with the felt. Fill the larger splits first with wickes mastic around £8 a tin as it has thick fibres then a band over the split using the mastic to bed it in, then a few hours later will roll over the top with the flexacryl. Never failed me yet.
