Simple 0% car sales equation.
Take normal sale price, add amount for interest, call this new price the normal price, offer new price at 0%

Yes, nothing particularly wrong with that, although not ideal. What it means though, is that there are no rate increases as with an interest bearing loan.
Simple 0% car sales equation.

I went to them last year and they valued my old car at £600 against a £15k for a 2nd hand Fiesta ST.... I walked away and the following week sold my old car to Evans Halshaws for £1700 and purchased a privately owned 12mnth old Fiesta for £13k (with 2 yrs warranty left on it)...
Bristol Street normally limits 0% interest to only half of the vehicle value
you do know how it works don't you? finance cost will be built in to margin
Macklin motors have same deal on just now also

Four stars, not bad. I think I'd have given 4.5, extra half a star for correct use of apostrophe. If only there'd been an exclamation mark after the second "ha" I'd have given the full 5 stars.

Please get real folks. Run for the hills when you see these 'deals'. You get feck all off from a dealer, unless you negotiate so hard that the manager comes out, and then you start to really negotiate. If you conclude a deal with the salesperson only, you have been seriously shafted. I could write a book.
People like you are why salesmen have a bad name. what are you doing? still buying a car the same way as in 1995? Margins are so small now and people who know what's going on will internet shop, the only one being shafted is you!! (but enjoy your mats and fuel)
Been buying my new cars online for years. In the 1980's and early 90's I used brokers to get best prices. Now I get the best online price. Many large dealer groups will match these prices, many won't. Anyone who pays full list price for a car is getting shafted. One of my recent purchases a GM group car had a list price of over 10K, I paid 5.5K.
I'd like to see that sales invoice for a 10k new car purchased for nearly half?!! And with the low margins dealers make I'm sure they would also like to know how you can be supplied a car less than they can for a single purchase. Granted some dealers/brokers can sometimes supply a certain model with a saving but this is when they are working for back end bonuses as there target has been met for that month.
Anyway listing is to do with used cars so how can you make the comment that people are getting shafted? There margins will vary on what the car stands them at plus costs of any repairs/warranty/valeting etc... I'm sure with all the tools of the wonderful Internet people can work out what the market value of the car should be they are interested in and make there own mind if it's a good buy or not instead of visiting forums listing someone like you sprout off your rubbish advice.
Sod off ya bampot. Not wasting any more of my time giving a more considered response. You obviously don't know how to get a good deal. I DO.

Ah I get it. Clearly from the name 'bruceboy' and the colourful language can we assume you are from north of the border. No wonder you get a good deal.

But it's a Nissan....

It's actually a Renault....
Nice to see the Pulsar back. If we can get a Nismo Juke then this should hopefully get a hotter version. With the exception of a couple of models the great Japanese machines of old are nowhere to be seen in recent years. Shame all their modern cars are brutally ugly too. I'd have an R34 GT-R Nur over the R35 in a heartbeat.
Hoping there's going to be a new Nissan Pulsar GTi-R following this model :)

Hi can anyone helps is this deal still on and is this car better than Dacia Ambiance £6795 as well thanks

Dacia a much better buy and you will get more room inside especially the boot, and don't let the knockers/badge snobs put you off, their reliability record in the rest of Europe has been proved and just because Dacia is new to the UK and is an unknown brand to most, it won't change this reliability record.
I've had 2 Dacia's, still on my second, in the last over five years and neither visited the garage except for servicing and I've done many long trips between England and Spain and never had cause to worry or think will this car get me there without breaking down.
The choice is yours but I would still give it a test drive to see if you are satisfied, please give us an update as to which way you go, good luck. But you won't need luck if you choose the Dacia.

The only time you will get wet in one of these 95% of the time is when stationary, the air flow around them when moving pushes the rain away the same as driving a convertible does in rain! Also you can just carry on and ignore the fact that windows are readily available both via Renault and 3rd parties so again your lack of knowledge is showing. Cold weather? Wear a coat, it isn't rocket science....
I owned a convertible for years. You, sir, are talking out of your bottom.

Haha - I never saw brooksym's frankly ridiculous comment :). He just needs to watch Vicki Butler-Henderson's Fifth Gear review on Youtube to know that he has just made a big boo-boo.
I drove a Smart Roadster for a few years. I used to fear the rain - mainly because it was such a faff to put the roof up :). I'd often play Russian roulette with the weather - hoping to get home and into the garage before it slugged it down.
Russia pretty much always won ;). Convertible's are good for summer driving. The Twizzy is good for never driving.

Like the other guy I tried one of these around and up and down hilly Barcelona. Awesome fun. I too have bought, well leased the Zoe, to be delivered early March.
Of you can't see the value in one of these then you obviously aren't the target market or have missed the point. Move along, nothing to see here etc.
Brilliant urban ZE concept. If everyone who was able to in London embraced these then I'm fairly sure I wouldn't see half so much of the murky brown layer of smog and pollution over the city when I fly in there.
One of the biggest problems with these in London is the fact relatively few of us are lucky enough to have a garage or driveway, in fact most people are in flats, making charging the thing impossible.
Maybe one day the government/highways agency will incorporate charging points into all the lamp posts, or, the road surface (wireless charging, like some Nokia phones), then things like this might just make sense for the masses..
If Boris was serious about reducing emissions he`d do something like that instead of the other hair brained schemes, like enormous cycle lanes which will make traffic worse by reducing road space & increase Co2 as a result.. Lets face it, the remaining drivers/non-cyclists in London, more would be likely to swap from fossil fuel vehicles to this & its EV counterparts than revert to the impracticality of pushbikes..
Theres also the added bonus of people actually being trained to drive on the road when they use these things (you need a driving licence), as opposed to cyclists, who think they can just buy a bike & go straight onto the north circular with zero training.. Its no wonder so many die..

A bicycle takes approximately 12% of the road space of a standard car so cycle lanes make sense. You only have to look at the cities that people are mentioning in this thread to see that bicycles are entirely practical in largely flat urban areas. The health benefits for the population would also be great for the NHS and essentially these are still fossil fuel cars as the UK generates most of its electricity from gas and coal. I personally would like to see all the fossil fuels replaced by nuclear power but until that happens I'm not sure I see electric cars as a the way forward.
You completely contradict yourself in your first sentence, if a bike takes up 12% of the space of a car then theres no need to encroach into roads by anything up to 50%, which is also what Boris is proposing.. Take a look at the embankment cycle route, how much of the road is that going to take percentage-wise.
And you miss the point entirely. There are literally millions of people in London who cant use bikes for various reasons, including practical & health reasons, these people have to use public transport, or, in many cases cars, vans & taxi`s, so why vilify them, which is what is being done by government, as well as know-it-all, self righteous cyclists..
Also, a lot of the cities being mentioned are much smaller & flatter than greater London, many dont have the variation in weather like we do either, so trying to use them as an example is pointless & irreverent.
Ever tried cycling from Enfield to Croydon & back? Greenford to Dagenham? No? Try it.. Then try it with 2 children, a partner & luggage.. Then do it in the pouring rain mid winter.. Its not fun, its not practical, its not time efficient...
What about the thousands of multi-drop delivery drivers who operate daily throughout London 24/7, these people usually start with a van load of stuff & do 2-3 runs per day, often covering 60 miles plus per-day within a 10 mile radius, what are you proposing for them? A bike with a van sized trailer?
Thats aside for the truck drivers who supply items to supermarkets, building sites etc
The biggest safety problem for cyclists is cyclists themselves, who, as I said, often have little or no training yet think they can just buy a bike & have the ability to share the roads with other traffic, in a very busy city environment, & have no problems. Its ridiculous. If there was mandatory testing for cyclists as well as official registration, deaths & injury would be largely irradiated.
The fact is the internal combustion engine is pretty much unbeatable, its practical, its long lived, it is easily fueled & its relatively cheap, both to make, maintain & run. Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles would be great, but given the difficulty in extracting hydrogen its unlikely to be a viable alternative in our lifetime.
If you could re-design London again you could incorporate all manor of improvements in so many areas, but its an old place that wasnt built with cars or a huge, densely populated population in mind, we have to work with what we`ve got without impacting on anyone unduly, demonizing the few remaining drivers who drive because they have to IS impacting on people unduly..
And I`m saying all this as a driver, an electric moped rider & a cyclist..

I did write a long post in answer to yours but I decided it didn't matter. I only need to say that each form of transport has pros and cons. I didn't contradict myself. I said practical in largely flat areas. Plus the political reasons for setting aside the space the mayor is apparently proposing is nothing to do with the space a cyclist needs on the road.

In the summer of 2014 there will be a replacement for the Splash and Alto but with a boot that matches the current Swift. This car will be built at its factory in Thailand and use a tweaked version of the current three-cylinder petrol engine to emit around 80g/km of C02 – easily making it a class leader in terms of efficiency.

*They have altered the T & C as it used to be 03 registered and under 90,000 miles. I looked at this deal a while ago and the sales guy said they would look at doing a deal at £4999 even if the PX car had higher mileage. The only thing I was put off by was it not having RCL just CL. I may consider this again now though.

You have to or have family members working or have pensions with certain companies to qualify.

It's a good price but I wouldn't be buying a 1.0 in this model, better to wait for the new 1.0 turbo out hopefully next year.

Plenty haters saying its crap, but not one person has come up with a similar, or even cheaper as was hinted, alternative.

might not be quite as cheap, but an t2 yaris is a better bet. or the base model fiesta, now that's a fine looking car.

That's the first someone has actually recommended an alternative and its more expensive.

So theres no better out there for the same money as the Corsa ?

IMHO, 1.0ltr is fine for city driving, agree with the earlier comment re the 1.3CDTi though, far better fuel economy and a cheaper Tax Disc too.

the corsa is 9k yes? for less you could have a vw up! or for 700 pounds more a Toyota yaris. for just under 8k you can have a Nissan migration too. fords one liter eco-boost engines offer loads of grunt. same with Fiats 0.9 liter twin air engines. my aygo has a one liter and thanks to low weight it copes fine on fast roads even with four people

I think my point stands.....theres no better out there for the same money..?

yes there is! I'd rather have a vw all day over a Vauxhall. also the Mitsubishi mirage is same money, same size, but bbetter engine. only somebody who did not care or did not research cars would by the Vauxhall....

This site can be just rediculous sometimes. There's another Zafira thead here at £10,695 that has gotten hot over 700 degrees. Why is this deal which is cheaper not as hot?
You need to be eligible for partners discount with this.

Voted hot.
Don't forget the Vauxhall £300 voucher for the Zafira that should bring the price down a bit more. Especially useful if you are adding pearlescent paint etc which cost just under £500 in addition.
Had the previous version from new and kept it for 7 years and was as good as the day I purchase it. Wonderful and practical car, I would buy another one tomorrow if the engines were more economical. At this price its unbelievable value.

Avoid like the plague. Poor mpg, poor resale, numerous known issues

New model out now so this is clearance, try your local dealer they are desperate for sales as the new 12 registrations are down for these petrol versions.
If it's the Zafira Tourer you're referring to (as new model) then this model will be sold alongside the present Zafira ... not replace it as they are both aimed at different market sectors - One C and the other D.
Of course it highly likely that over a period of time we may see some "cross-pollination" between the two but don't expect the bottom to drop out of the Zafira B market just yet.

sorry price !!!!!
You can join unison to qualify for partner discount or if a family member is in unison or works for a partner company listed on website you also qualify. Most will get this price !
"Includes Vauxhall Partner Discount". What does that mean? If it's this http://www.vauxhalloffers.com/partners.php then most people won't get that price.

Why is this expired? They still have them in stock.
Thanks for your informed opinions on this thread.
When I originally set it up, I thought it would only be available for several days so set it to expire on 24th.
I got a follow up email this morning so you're right the deal [ in some form or other] is still running. I've now changed expiry date to end of month, but it obviously needs a mod to un-expire it.
I think it's a cracking deal, you simply can't get a new car thats practical and looks this good for 10k.

59 plate means 6 months old, not a year, or would be the 09 plate...

Good price op!
59 plate came out September 1 2009, 09 plate March 2009, 10 plate 1st March 2010. this is October 2010 so its 11 months old, over 1 year.

Fair enough I forgot we was in October.

However your wrong - 11 months does not equal over 1 year... but 13 months do :)
haha have to give you that one (_;)
if you look through there used car section you can view the exact car for sale.

Overview:
Year: 10/59
Colour: Red
Fuel Type: Petrol Mileage: Enquire
Trans: Manual

and if you look at the photos of the car you can certainly see this is not new. check out the brake dust on the alloys.
tbf our local pug garage does this all the time, very similar ads
