Water is our Lifestream

Drinking a sufficient amount of water is one of the simplest exercises for staying healthy. Almost all bodily functions such as blood pressure, liver, kidneys, joints and digestion require water to function perfectly. After all, our bodies are made up of approximately 70% water.

Why Brita filtered water?

You might wonder which water to drink - filtered or bottled? Impurities such as chlorine, sediment, water hardness or metals (lead, copper and aluminium) are the reason tap water may be unsuitable for you and your family. Here, the BRITA filter systems come into action!

Brita cartridges filter all kinds of impurities and lead to:
Cleaner, clearer, great tasting water
Full development of fine flavours of coffee and tea
Reduced limescale build up in electric appliances (such as kettles and coffee machines etc.)
Potentially improved colour and texture of foods cooked with water and a reduced amount of scum produced during the cooking process

Capacity: 1.5 litres filtered water capacity, 2.5 litres total capacity

Filter Cartridge: Uses Brita Classic Click here for further details.

These type of kettles are brill , i got a Morphy Richards one for £15 when they had that silly online sale about a year ago, drinks definately taste better :)

Not sure about the £40 price tag tho, you can get them for around £25 or cheaper..
Welcome to HUKD zapman :)

I have this kettle and it's crap. Awkward to use and when filling it becomes unbalanced and top heavy.
Far cheaper to buy one of their own Brita filter jugs (£15-20 max) and then pour that water into a standard kettle! With a filter kettle if you want a quick cuppa you need to fill the kettle and wait an age for it to filter through - only then can you boil it. Keep a Brita filter jug in your fridge always topped up and it's not a problem, AND you get chilled filtered water all the time too, a filter kettle isn't suitable for that. A gimmick.

Can't rate this hot I'm afraid, but won't rate negatively either as it may help someone who is determined to have one.

It takes about 40 seconds to fill my filter kettle up to the very top, and about 10 seconds is enough for a cup full, they have fast filters in them nowadays far quicker than the normal ones, not everyone has room for a filter in there fridge either
Thanks for the tips guys. As you say you can buy cheaper models elsewhere, but it seems as if the jury is still out on whether they are useful or not. We do use a Brita water filter jug, and put it in the fridge, and then pour it into the kettle as suggested, but I hoping to cut a stage out.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a message anyway.:)
I cut out the 'middle' man and fitted a water filter tap in the kitchen. Very easy to do and the kids love it.
