Why are people still wasting their money on this guff? Tap water is pure & in some areas they put flouride in to help teeth! All Brita does is filter the goodness out of it!

Do me a favour & save your money!

Why don't you do us all a favour Andy, and don't post unless you have something constructive to say! :x Some of us actually prefer the taste of the filtered water. Whether it's got any good stuff taken out is neither here nor there!

I have no problem drinking tap water as long as it tastes right. Where I currently live the water is particularly hard and filtering it makes it a much more palatable prospect!

Ps - you hit the nail on the head in your own post; tap water is not pure in the same way that mineral water isn't because it contains minerals, salts, fluoride additives etc! The stuff that comes out of these filters is purer than that which goes in the top.
