I've just paid £13 for a similar one in Tesco and thought that was good! hot.

This is a good price for the jug but I find brita cartridges so expensive.

I think that's why the jugs are being reduced in price

Most of these cheap jugs require the whole lid to be removed in order to fill. May well just be me but I find that a complete pain.
#6
cartridges are expensive (although 6 for £12 at the moment at morrisons), but we've been using the cartridges for twice the length of time the little monitor gizmo recommends without any noticeable increase in limescale etc.

I've never removed the lid of my maxtra to fill it, I find them the best designed of all the ones I have tried.

I've just had a look at this filter and its different to mine, so you may have to take the lid off but is this such a big issue?

Very Good Price, It's worth noting that comet also have 4 Brita Maxtra Cartridges for £9.99 which is a very good price:thumbsup:, http://www.comet.co.uk/shopcomet/product/354716/BRITA-MAXTRA-3-1-FREE

are they the original style filter cartridge as they tend to be a bit cheaper than the new style Matrix

Excellent price!
Looks identical to my Brita Classic fridge jug (except for the Maxtra cartridge fit)
#17
Good deal though I doubt we'd ever need one in Liverpool as we don't have problems with limescale our water's very soft.

Anyone know how many litres of water one cartridge will treat?

We live in Lincs which is renown for its hard water!!
#19
We must be lucky here up in Scotland as our water delivered to our taps does not need any other treatment
