I know there is a Britax car seat at asda for 25.99 from tomorrow onwards.... but i was looking for car seats ydy for my son and this is so much comfier and nicer than the maxi car seat (it has soft edges for child to snuggle in rather than hard arm rests) as its a pricier model....but u only pay an extra four pounds for better comfort here!

it still has the pull out snack trays/drink holders but when i sat my son in this car seat he just seemed a lot comfier than having a booster with a back (like the maxi car seat is).

on the website it says from 39.99 but look anywhere else and its 59.99 (i was looking in mothercare ydy) next cheapest is kiidcare for 39.99 (which offers u free sunblinds and postage...but this is good if u pick it up for 29.99)

anyways heres all the info on it:
A forward-facing lightweight high-backed booster car seat suitable from 15-36kg (33-80lbs) with side impact protection and pull out drink holder and snack holder. The adjustable headrest has multiple height positions and can be easily adjusted as your child grows. Your child is secured with the 3-point seat belt which is correctly positioned over your childs pelvis and shoulder.

Group 2,3 forward facing car seat
Deep padded side wings and headrest
Gives optimum side impact protection
Height adjustable headrest allows the seat to grow with the child
Seat belt guide correctly positions belt over the childs shoulder
Pull out drink holder and snack tray included
Removable machine washable cover
Conforms to ECE: R44/04

I'm not in the market for a car seat but I'd definitely go for a Britax seat over Graco. As you say it offers a lot more protection and neck support. If your child is on the smaller side (but clearly big enough to move up to this stage car seat) or big but on the younger side the Graco one is not as safe - my neighbour and I were both advised as much independently from halfords and mothercare fitters. I totally appreciate that cost is a factor but for £5 more I have in the past and would again go for the Britax. I returned the Graco when I was lucky enough to stumble across the Britax Evolva for £29.99 in TK Max. Good price for a Britax seat, heat!

These are great seats, I have them for my 2 middle kids & it's the only car seat my son will actually stay in.

It doesnt seem to tilt backwards though for when your child falls asleep, which i would find quite useful

I remember as a kid (in the 80s so not too long ago) having to put towels down on the backseat if it was hot as it was made of plastic and got really hot!

Really good these seats - I've got the hi-liners which I think are very similar.

Don't forget Kiddicare do price match plus 15% and 4% Quidco.

And as you say, there's the free sun blinds as well.

Annoyingly, free delivery with them is only on orders over £29.99 so you'd have to find something for a penny!
