The Britax Prince is a lightweight seat, which can be installed in a wide range of vehicles with either a 3-point seat belt or a 2-point lap belt.

The slim base allows for a better fit in cars with sculptured seats. The seat also offers 3 recline positions for your child’s comfort.

Suitable from 9mths - 4 years, (9kg - 18kg)

We've got one as it goes on a plane seat. Cheaper at Amazon at £54.99 and most of the time it's £50.

Sits on this for transportation through airports https://www.amazon.co.uk/Design-Go-Luggage-Travel-Trolley/dp/B005BND8GO - the seat is secured to it using the trolley's integral bungees.

Just be aware that although it has 3 recline positions the seat must be adjusted to your preferred position BEFORE you install it in the car and the recline cannot then be adjusted without loosening the seatbelt and re-installing the seat. It can't be reclined mid-journey. If that is important to you have a look at the Britax Eclipse or Britax First Class, I had a First Class and providing I was stopped at traffic lights or pulled over I could recline it with one hand by reaching back from the driver's seat.

hoping you get a notifier for my reply to this...

I just bought one of these for an upcoming trip abroad, for use on car journeys there with our 15 months old. the intention was to pack up the box it comes in with clothes and take it as checked luggage, but reading your tip sparked curiosity. Did the airline show any concerns about you taking it on board and did they charge any extra? we are flying UK to India with the relatively unknown (to us anyway) Turkmenistan airlines, so wondering if we can do what you mention
