Beware - this shirt is a tight fit one so if you're fat, order a size or two up - or lose weight before the first test starts.

£90 for a rugger shirt?! My god, the rampant commercialisation of sport is reaching new heights.

It's a nice one though and RRP is £100.

I thought replica kits were £50 for a shirt back in the 90's and now more usually £40. £100! Jeeez

The normal replica is £50 - this one is a technical jersey. Marketing bull, but it means it's tighter and a better fit.

different shirts the one in this post is a supporters shirt which is an old school loose one, the technical shirt is made from different material, is tighter and almost identical to the one the players wear. Added heat but for 'larger' supporters the supporters £40 shirt is better advised. For us rugby players the technical shirt offers more!

No, that is the standard replica - this is the technical or 'pro' shirt.

In a recession, amazing! To spend 90 quid on this you'd have to be a total moron! Aaaaah, it's aimed at Rugby fans, I see!

If you're a fanclub member you get some allocation, so would rather pay for a replica and a holiday whilst seeing a match

Plus as a member you get 15% off rrp so works out cheaper for me anyway incl delivery

Rugby fans obviously not heard of the credit crunch then:whistling:

Nice shirt .... YES.

£90 nice........NO:roll:

Unless you play for the British and Irish Lions, you will have no need for a 'technical shirt'.

What a stupid thing to sell.

I actually find it a nicer fitting shirt. It's tighter in all the right places and looks a lot better for it.

As for the credit crunch, not everyone is as affected as the media would have you believe. The comment implying that rugby players were in some way stupid is so far wide of the mark in terms of my experience of playing rugby. Put simply, people come to the club just to make business contacts and they are far from idiotic people.

And there was me thinking they came to play or watch rugby! You live and learn.

I'm suire this will be great for people who actually play rugby, in a game, the difference between the technical shirt and the supporters shirt may well be worth £50.

Of course, you'd have to be playing for a team who's kit matches the Lions kit...i.e. one of the Lions players...don't they get their shirts for free?

I'm a big rugby fan, and the "credit crunch" means sweet F/A to me (wait, everywhere is having sales, and mortgage payments have been cut by more than a third? yeah, I feel so dreadfully poor, not that you'd notice for all the extra disposable income i have now...) but seriously, £90 for a shirt? that really is crazy.
