This is a good deal but I understand if you pay a little extra someone from BC will show up at your door and hand you a bag of unidentified meds (_;)

Believe me, as someone who's had cause to use it, worth it for the insurance alone

Quote the opposite, if you pay extra i.e. Race membership, someone will come round your house and ban you from cycling if you have asthma. edit. Unless you have a TUE for your inhaler

#10

#11

It's 'Ride' membership, like it says at the top and on the Evans website and on the BC website.
#14
Anyone know how this works as in when you signup on the BC website they have all their details but what happens when you turn up at Evans Cycles or get it delivered?

So £16.50 for a years insurance? Seems like a deal.

EDIT: Is the 10% off at halfords on anything?

Liability insurance, not bike insurance.

This doesn't insure your bike against being stolen of course. Just if you are in an accident.

Yes 10% off anything at Halfords, not just bike stuff!

10% off at Chain Reaction too, but you have to spend £100 for the discount to apply :( (something they changed a few years ago)

Yes, presumably this covers claims against you, when cycling
Bought, but wonder if I can stand a weekly email

It's a good deal if you can find something at Evans that isn't shockingly expensive compared to anywhere else.

They occasionally have every good clearance offers, but their normal prices are very high indeed.

I think if you are clipping cyclists with your wing mirror you might want to re-read the highway code and give them a little more space.

Or join Road.cc for free, then BC for free for a year.

not quite. Road cc may be free but just because it's bc registered doesn't make you a BC member.

Could be read as cyclists clipping mirrors of cars in stationary traffic.

Yup, I read it in the question and answers before I bought that they offered discount, every answer has now changed to a generic we no longer offer discount

Evans Cycles will price match most online bike retailers , so it's a win/win

This is a cheap licence to ride you mean it, mow down a pedestrian on the footpath and the insurance just sorts out all the compo.

A footpath I doubt it, bicycles shouldn't be on a footpath unless clearly signposted "bicycles allowed" and even then you should give way to pedestrians..

Thanks op, wish I'd had this a month ago, will be signing up ..

Any catches with this Evans purchase, is it a straight signup with no catches
