Excellent deal - got some of this today. They had some cut in joints £2/3, larger joints £6/7 or will cut to size on the butchery counter.

If I can cook it like Jamie Oliver did on his 'Pigs' programme then I'll be well happy.

Good price, thanks

I've voted cold as although I think this is a good price now the start price seems high to me - I have a local butcher who always charges a lot for meat and even in there the shoulders are £3.95/kilo and would be of a better quality. Have a go a the Jamie Oliver recipe I have done it twice now and its fantastic x

Very good find, wedge. But why have you attached a picture of plastacine on toast? :whistling:

If you went to Morrisons and saw the pork, and their butchers then you may know that it is probably the best of the 4 main supermarkets. Runs my local farm shop (who are damn good) very close.

A good price.

I recently changed jobs, so have access to a Morrisons now. Their fresh meat does seem to be superior to Tesco & Asda. The pork shoulder I bought last week was very good and we had a delicious brisket pot roast from there this week.

Thought the picture was brill. Unfortunately no Morrisons where i live. We are dominated by Tesco`s!

Anywhere between £3.50 and £5 per kilo is typical for rolled pork shoulder. If it's got the bone in still then it'll be less. £2/kilo is stupid cheap, that's offal pricing!
