Cheapest I can see anywhere else for Brittas Empire (Complete) (Series 1 - 7) is about £50, so this is a pretty good price!

I believe this set was released in 2005, so I'm not sure why the movie mail site states that it will be released in October 2007!

Details: Manager of Whitbury New Town Leisure Centre, Gordon Brittas, has a natural ability to create havoc wherever he goes. His long suffering wife, Helen, struggles to retain her sanity and his staff try to keep the leisure centre running smoothly despite Gordon's best efforts. Features the complete episodes from series one to seven.

Absolutely brilliant! Cheapest I've ever seen it. :)

Brilliant price, but if you order it now as they seem convinced it's not released until October, will it go down as a pre-order and not be delivered until October?

The ultimate test of endurance would be watching every episode of Brittas Empire back-to-back. Someone should do it for charity!

I haven't seen this in years!

Ignore the Movie Mail quoted 999 minutes (about 16 hrs), the running time is just under 25 hrs.

An absolute classic.

Remember those kids in the cupboard at reception - haha wtf?

I came across an episode of this on some VCR tape we have last year, was most amusing!

To tell the truth, back in the day, I think I actually fancied Gordon Brittas. Not Chris Barrie, I actually mean Gordon Brittas. How weird is that.

Would that be the episode when it collapsed or something, or am I thinking of some other program?

I emailed them to check and they're replied that this is a re-release as officially it was deleted in March last year. They also said that they can't be sure about the exact packaging and contents at this stage so these may or may not be different to the previous release.

This means of course that when other e-tailers start to list the new release that someone might end up being cheaper.
