Broadband only for £16 a month for 3 Months, then £21 a month after. Think this is a good deal, not sure what the reliability and service virgin offer? Never seen a deal with broadband only so no Line rental payable!

I have Virgin BB on cable and it is very reliable, and they generally deliver the mbps they say you will get (due to it being cable and not ADSL).

I pay for 30mbps and regularly get 31 or 32 mbps.

over priced, virgin need to drop the prices and get real, they're going to start lossing alot of customers, thanks to P.M Cameron and his gangster pals, Orange are doing unlimited for £7.50 a month first 3 months free and £20 vouchers

Was not too keen on the recent above inflation price increases so I was entitled to cancel within my contact. Was really happy with the speed, service etc, but the phone line is over priced on calls. I'm now going to try a Three Mifi with one of the £7 3 months broadband sims and see how I get on. Should be fine for general surfing.

Thanks for your comments but the orange deal you still need to pay line rental then I assume its £18 a month after the 3 months + line rental at £11.50 a month, think the virgin deal is £26.49 if I needed a phone line which I don't. thanks for the comments on the reliability as long as the fibre optic broadband is reliable thats all I really want.

I've got 50mb b/b and get anything between 35 and 52 (on cable) support is first class , only downside is upload is only 1.6 . It's the best BB i've ever had ,and would reccomend .

Broadband prices are ridiculous, i have been on the same broadband only deal from virgin for years now, and i decided maybe if i upgraded or went with another company i might get a better service...i pay 17.99 a month for unlimited 8MB broadband (my maximum) and i havent managed to beat that price yet!

Ive been upgraded to 5mb upload now, you will get this shortly.
I always get between 5.5 and 6.0mb/s download on 50mb.

My 10mb was great too, only one small outage in 18months!

£11.50 line rental + £7.50 for unlimited braodband = £19 plus free connection plus first 3 months braodband free plus £25 credit on your account plus free router from Orange on a 18 month contract.

the ViginMedia broadband-only deal as per this thread could be very attractive should BB-only be eligible for £150+ cashback.

probably very unwise to base any purchase decision on this level of cashback though !

untrue ive had the at the time max 30mbps package and would regularly get 1Mbps at random times, fibre means nothing to virgin, they cant handle the load, also if fibre is so great why do they cap their services? only the 50mb service is currently uncapped.

Do you have to buy a bundle to get the cash back or will a broadband connection be ok?
thanks.
