Broken arrow is a military term for a nuclear warhead that has been stolen -- and villainous Air Force pilot Vic Deakins (John Travolta) has done just that. In fact, he's pilfered TWO bombs, in an effort to extract a huge amount of cash from the government in exchange for their safe return. However, there's a fly in the ambitious thief's ointment: Riley Hale (Christian Slater), Vic's former co-pilot, whom Vic thought he had killed when he robbed the bombs. Helping Riley is gutsy female Park Ranger Terry Carmichael (Samantha Mathis). Together the duo uses all the artillery, ammo, vehicles, and gumption they can muster, as they risk life and limb to thwart Vic and his vile gang. Hong Kong action specialist John Woo propels the film through trains, Humvees, exploding helicopters and more.

Look Just not trying to rain on your parade either BUT from Wiki ;

Broken Arrow may also refer to:

* An accidental event that involves nuclear weapons or nuclear components but which does not create the risk of nuclear war, known as a Broken Arrow in United States military terminology.

* The United States code for calling in all available aircraft or artillery for an airstrike and/or artillery strike very near a friendly position which has been overrun by the foe, and therefore creating a high probability of 'Blue-on-Blue'. An example of this use was shown in the 2002 movie We Were Soldiers, a true story during which a Broken Arrow was called in by Lieutenant Colonel Hal Moore in 1965 while leading his men through the Ia Drang Valley in Vietnam.

* The Blackfoot Indians would use a broken arrow to signal that they would cease fighting.[citation needed]

( Just saying !? ) ;-)

The price is misleading. You should also include the cost of many hours with a trained therapist needed to cleanse your mind of the memory of this abomination of a film.

What are you lot talking about? This is a perfectably acceptable film and easily watchable. It's not a great film but there are a lot worse (the latest steven seagal films, anything like Juno, Alvin and the Chipmunks etc.)

But why would you buy any film (bar The Rock and a few other classics) on DVD/BluRay etc.? Waste of money.
