They do hold there money very well at the moment but a new model is imminent
I don't think there is a car at this price bracket that holds value well. WhatCar depreciation calculator has this car losing £10K off list over 4 years, that's 50%. It's better than some but still not very good. There's a depreciation timebomb ticking away at the moment, with booming new car sales being sustained with people taking PCP deals. In a couple of years when these deals run out, buyers handing them back will cause a flood of used cars hitting the market which is expected to affect all residuals quite hard.

Great news for those of us who always buy our car second-hand though :)

but aren't all VW's "boring to look at" ?...they have been from conception but still the vehicles most people aspire to own.

Bizarre isn't it? because we've all been fed the marketing line that it's German so it must be reliable, yet the stats prove otherwise:

Yet, there it is in 23rd place, just below Renault.

Does it cost more from Less Broke Cars?
£14056 for a Skoda Yeti 1.2 TSI S 5dr - much more fun than the similar Tiguan, more practical, lower price and better reviewed. VW quality, parts and engineering, but a t a lower price.
