In 1974, a misguided 19 year old decided he wanted to make a name for himself and so, armed with a sawn-off shotgun and a head full of dreams, he attempted to rob a post office. Swiftly apprehended and originally sentenced to 7 years in jail, Michael Peterson has subsequently been behind bars for 34 years and transformed into Charles Bronson, Britain's most notorious prisoner.

For this controversial but critically acclaimed film from director Nicolas Winding Refn (the Pusher trilogy), Tom Hardy physically transformed himself for the role and gives a performance described by The Sun as "utterly brilliant".

Watched it all the way through and enjoyed it. Quirky, funny and offbeat for a Brit criminal/prison flick with an amazing Tom Hardy performance.

I think your second statement is a lie.

where in the film is it funny, all it does is to makes a hard man out to look a fall, who hangs out with a gay ring of people, the film is far from the true, the bit where he locks the prison officer up in the cell, as he did not get beat up and in real life he got druged with a sandwich he asked for and was carried to the block out cold. and it was a £1 in the pound shop but not on blue-ray

You need to do a lot more editing on that paragraph before what you say makes sense. I'm not too worried about Time Out's review, it's just one critic's opinion. I'm qualified well enough to have my own view.

I still think you're wrong about it being in a pound shop, even on regular dvd.
