The ink cartridges for these are not cheap...

Like anything... cheap to buy the unit, expensive to run...

not a bad printer for quality etc but....
the printhead is not accessible to be replaced
i have two of these and neither work now as the printhead is clogged.
the cleaning cycle does not make much difference so i would have to say that this is not a good printer

I have this wouldn't recommend it, spend a little more and get a better printer.

If you spend £39 (ex vat) at Staples at the moment you can get a free MP4 player, just enter C4-72040 plus you get free delivery.

Says at the bottom "This site is for business customers only. All prices shown are exclusive of VAT at 15%" does this mean you have to be VAT registered to get this deal?:whistling:
#22
No. You can get it at this price. I am not a business customer and have had no problems.
#23
I have this printer and though it's not going to give you brilliant photo prints it's perfect for everyday type printing. I buy the ink in bottles and refill the cartridges instead. Think I bought them from ink.co.uk so really costs pennies to run. Ideal when you have children who feel the need to print everything they ever do!

I got one of these about 3 months ago at this price, no problems at all and quite quick, ink is very cheap and you only change what runs out not all the lot as you do with some printers.
#26
great price H&R added
#28
Bought this printer about 9 months ago for £40, and can reccommend, this is a great every day printer

Had several Brother All In Ones and never had any issues.

Incredibly cheap to run. I buy my cartridges at around £1.78 each from SVP.

One of mine churns out about 900 pages a week at work and is a real workhorse.

I have got one of these Brother 135C All-in-One printer. I was luckly enough to try several printers before. This one, particularly this model is unbelievable. I am actually amazed by the quality of the print out, the print speed and cost of the compatible inks cartridges. I bought the printer from Staples for £29.99 last year.

To start with the quality, this is second to none in this kinda price range printers unless you want to spend £150+. The photo quality prints are so fine. It even look better than more expensive printer print out.

The speed is the fastest one I have ever seen including big brands Canon ,HP , Epson and Lexmark. The black and white pages print like crazy speed. It is almost like laser printers speed.
The 6x4 highest photo takes approx 1 min.

The cost of the cartridges are dirt cheap. Like the gent on this forum say, you can order a full set of OEM cartridges (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black) for less than £7. I used this printer about a year. it never gave me nozzle blocked problem. It prints fine every time I want to print.

Pls don't look down on this one. Otherwise you will regret it like me. I recently picked one HP C5280 for £20 from the pcworld( Pls don't ask me how I got it for that price). It is supposed to be better than this one (Brother 135C Multi-function Printer). In reality, HP C5280 is slower, cost more on ink and very complicated scanning software.

Now I miss my Brother 135C. Unfortunately, I gave it to my Dad. So if I want it I have to buy it again.

Quite impressed for the money :)

got one from argos for £33 cos i had some vouchers lying around to put towards it - impressed with build quality - seems a nice bit of kit - happy that it is quite compact and nice looking, looking forward to trying the scanner out

Actually, delivery is £2.90, and the on line price of £29.99 is ex Vat.
£29.99 + VAT @15% = £34.49. Plus postage @ £2.90.
True cost delivered is £37.39.

Or am I missing something?
