I got one of these last week the price quoted here is the ex VAT price. So more like £70 with VAT. Though don't forget to put the code in for the free 69 piece tool kit and 6% quidco available.

To make this an even better offer with free 3 years' Warranty, go to this page, and enter the code EM0002. Valid for all Brother purchases made this year.

http://www.brother.co.uk/g3.cfm/s_page/77630

You get a choice of either:

1 - a 2 year extension on your warranty
2 - a label printer
3 - a usb memory stick

As posted in the previous threads for the new line of Brother printers, if you need ink the cheapest I can find is inkredble where it starts at £1.99 per cartridge.

The MFC-440CN can still be had in store at Staples for £99.99. Same specs as the 540CN but with Fax added. See this thread HERE

That thread also gives details of the free 3 yr onsite warranty offer from Brother on these printers which was posted a couple of months back

PLEASE NOTE....THE OFFER ON THE 540CN AT STAPLES IS FOR TODAY ONLY SO BE QUICK IF YOU WANT IT

A further option is the MFC-240C still available from Argos for £79.99.

This has sheet feeder, fax, copier, scanning and print facilities for those that do not need it to be networked.

Have you tried the inkredible ink?

And don't be fooled into thinking you can walk into Staples and purchase a 540CN. I just did only to be told 'ooh we don't keep the same stock as the Internet'.
