Scary if you try to put ink in it...

Toners are expensive though.

This printer offers good value as the 'in the box' toners equate to 2,500 Black and 1,500 colour prints. So for B&W prints it equates to 4p each plus the cost of the paper.

For the 'meanies' there are a few tutorials around for refilling toner cartridges, one here.

Isn't that gear wheel they are on about already in the original cartridge?? Not looked myself...

Yes check out this link. You can add a reset gear wheel that will reset the "out of toner" alarm, which on the boxed toners happens before they are run out plus they don't come with this wheel. Also using the same site you can easily refill them so I would say it does not work
Out that expensive.
