A very well reviewed, no nonsense laser printer. It's had great reviews, and this is a great price!

Genuine brother toner £65+. Third party toner £35ish, not too bad. . .

great printer and will cut your ink costs by 90% compared to inkjets. Super quick too.

I have voted hot for the price but the thing with brother is that after 5000 prints it states that the drum has gone when it hasn't. Same as the tonner. Well there is a way round the drum bit and the tonner

I posted this a couple of weeks ago when Makro were doing it for £44.99 inc VAT.

Staples are now doing it for £42.49 http://www.staples.co.uk/ENG/Catalog/cat_sku.asp?CatIds=%2C&webid=397225&affixedcode=WW

Good printer but deal voted cold as it isn't really a very good price.

I bought one of these during the week.

You don't need to open the box in order to apply for the extended warrenty on the brother website. I have not wholly decided if I'm keeping this yet but extended warrenties are only valid on purchases made before the end of this month.

That price is without the VAT, the price with the VAT @ Staples is £50.08.

£33.00 for a nwe toner at viking
A lot of money compared to the price of the printer

Agreed BUT this is always the case - especially with these cheap laser printers.

Review websites suggest (even with toner costs factored in) a very good cost per copy ratio.

More reviews via the following amazon page:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Brother-HL-2035-Printer-capacity-sheets/dp/B001D8C5V0/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1238231417&sr=1-4page

Via that page you can get it for £49.99 from Ryman, earlier on in the thread you can get it from Staples for £50 so £48.49 whilst cheaper, is not such a stunning price.

But looking at the printer, with three warranty & the great reviews, then it seems just what i was looking for - cheers!

I've used one of these printers for 3 years now and it's never let me down. The toner is expensive but not bad in comparison to other brand and it lasts me about a year.
#18
amazon £4.19 but includes free delivery!!!!
#19
oops £49.99 lol
#20
That toner website was odd!

Just bought a bottle of toner.

Postage was £2.25 fir second class or £1.45 for first!!!

Orders above £30 was free delivery
#21
I have one of these and the toner lasts for ages
#22
Rymans have 8% Quidco, so brings the price down to £46. Thanks to OP, have ordered one.

Thanks, i've gone for this. Been looking for a printer and this fits the bill & wallet nicely.
#24
had a reserve with argos, but ordered through rymans.
#25
Ryman website states this printer comes with "One year on-site warranty upon registration" ?
#26
Purchase before the end of March, and register at the Brother website before 15 April, and you get free 3 year on-site warranty. But it does insist you use Brother consumables - not sure if they can tell if you've been refilling...

Make sure you pick the option for "register and extended warranty" using the promo code LN0034. Otherwise it only gives you one year warranty.

Does anyone have advice as to the best way to network this printer?

I don't want to have my desktop on all of the time, I use my netbook nearly all if the time now and would prefer to print directly from there.

My drum has just died!

But still going strong - 34835 sheets later and 9 toners and 3 refills :)

I just hope my new drum unit does as good a job ;)
