As suggested by Bitter Wallet: http://www.bitterwallet.com/5-alternatives-to-wrapping-paper-doesnt-it-cost-a-lot/4467 a chic and cheap way to wrap your presents. Team with some smart ribbon from fleaBay or good old shiny curling ribbon and your gifts look rather cool (IMHO). Also the poundland paper is a slightly lighter weight than the normal WHSmith or Rymans brown paper so is easier to fold.

Crikey? 47p? Bargain.

We did this for xmas, but used stamps and paint to give a really homemade look.

I bought a load of satin ribbon off fleabay for mine. And last year I used Indian newspapers to wrap a section. Looks really smart AND you can recycle it, not like the tat you can buy in the shops.

I would never have thought of using brown paper in that way but I reckon its a great idea, unfortuanetly I've already got my wrapping paper for this year but I'll try to remember this for next year.
