Garbage Bin, or Savior of Marriage?!

"My fiance and I debated for three days prior to purchasing this bin, which I think is a common debate, as purchasing the correct bin is perhaps one of the biggest choices any young couple faces, and is perhaps the reason for high divorce rates in this country.

Needless to say, this purchase will save our forthcoming marriage before it has even begun. The brushed steel finish represents solidarity of commitment, a pledge to hide your rubbish away from you safely until such time that disposal seems fit. The pedal operation means the scum you are disposing within will never grace your soft, silky hands, and ample space within means you will never have to change bin liners more than you would the oil in your car.

All in all, I look at the time before the purchase of this garbage bin as a dark time in my life, and now, with this bin in my kitchen, I look forward to the future with happiness in my heart and hope in my mind. Thank you, Brushed Stainless Steel 12 Litre Pedal Bin, thank you."

surely that is a joke? Have you nothing better to do with our time than spend 3 days debating over a crap bin that costs a tenner?

Good intro...heat added, & cheap. Recently bought a stainless steel pedal bin - 12L, from Homebase - (same company)...for £11.99.....reduced from £14.99.

Just checked same bin in Homebase for same price £9.99......so if Argos doesn't have it ...Try Homebase.....its the sme company.
Prefer the stainless Steel bin tho.

or have a sense of humour ;)

I hope the bin last longer than your relationship or I sense a rocky patch ahead for you two. Maybe you should purchase an extra one as a back up, just in case.

No stock in this area, I've contacted Relate with a formal complaint.

H & R for brightening up a very grey and cold Sunday morning. Excellent price as well :)

lol. It Could be why it's called a pedal bin. lol :whistling:

If you go to EVERY supermarket or hardware shop and get "pedal bin liners" you will find they are made for these.

The bigger ones sell as SWING BIN liners, then you get full size DUSTBIN liners.

Not everyone wants to keep a bin full of rubbish that might take 2 or 3 days to fill festering away in their kitchen, so they use one this size which can get emptied more often...............lol

Try your local Asda, mine at Coventry Walsgrave had a stack of 30 litre ones in earlier this week for a tenner....only spotted after I bought one for £12.99 from B &M! :x

yep found the review on the argos site, that's why it's in speech marks! :giggle:

I seen this the other day, it was stainless steel EFFECT. It was light and cheap to the touch so its probably worth the tenner..
