Great post. Read the specs., but would be interested in knowing if these take the "normal" re-chargeable batteries or those taped together with the little wire hanging out (if anyone owns these phones already).
Thanks

This is a very good price but I had to return two sets of these phones due to various problems. Basically reception was poor and they just kept on going off-line. The build quality also seemed a bit suspect too. Admittedly, they were refurbs but they did look and feel brand new.

Good luck.

Saw a post on MSE http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=350891 that states BT are selling these for £49.99 and they have a double the difference money back guarantee if you can find them cheaper elsewhere!

So buy from BT (edited) and get £40 back from BT!:whistling:

The BT Shop Price Promise

Our promise to you is, if you purchase a BT communication product* from the BT Shop at www.bt.com/shop and then within 7 days of your purchase, you find the same product advertised, in stock, new and unused and available immediately in any other UK high street or online retailer - we will refund you "double the difference". This refund will be in the form of a BT Shop voucher to be spent at the BT Shop.

How to claim against the BT Shop Price Promise

If you believe you have found the same product, at a lower price within 7 days of your purchase from the BT Shop, simply fill in your details below (we will need all the information requested to process your claim) and post the completed form back to us at the address below.

Please be aware that in order to process your refund, we must have all the information requested including where you found the same product at a lower price and evidence of that price - eg a newspaper advertisment, promotional leaflet, digital photograph of point of sale display, screen grab, till receipt etc.

We will then confirm that all the conditions for a refund have been met before emailing you your BT Shop voucher for "Double the Difference". Successful claimants will receive an email within 28 days. Unsuccessful claimants will be contacted by email to state the reason why the claim has not been successful.

Yea you do...Sorry I got that wrong..DOH...

Buy from BT...go to the link on MSE where it gives you a link to print the claim form...fill that in and do a screen grab of the Comet price...get £40 back in BT Vouchers and then buy another pair for £49.99 from BT with the vouchers and you get 4 phones for about 20 quid if I've done my sums correctly!:whistling:
#13
hmmm great idea?! ...however, BT does say "Unsuccessful claimants will be contacted by email to state the reason why the claim has not been successful"

..what would be the chances of that happening in this instance??
#14
Can you return it if the claim with BT insuccessful because the price difference?
How about buy 2 to avoid the delivery charge?:w00t:

There's only one base station. So unless your mum's got another base station she won't be able to use it.

Good timing, our spare handset died. So might as well buy this set of phones. :)

We've got a Samsung DECT cordless phone which must be over 10 years old and it's still like new and I have to say that I thought my old phone was better then these ones.
#27
we currently have 2 cordless phones at home but just after xmas one of them stopped working so have been waiting for a good deal on 2 new ones to come along, so have ordered these and they are being delivered next week. it's great that you can put your mobile sim into them and transfer all your numbers, that has got to be a good feature cause it normally takes ages to put all the numbers in!!
