The BT Esprit 1200 boasts the latest telephone features including SMS text messaging, caller display, 255 name & number directory, games and VIP ringtone/picture messaging. This is also a great phone to use as a VoIP phone with BT Broadband Talk, it is easy to set up

I got one of these for a special deal of around £45 a few months. They're mint.
The Esprit 1250 is slightly cheaper at £29.99 (Plus P&P, less voucher and Quidco) - listed the other day by someone on HUKD.

i got two of the 1250's form the last thread, i'm not impressed overly with them that much, the build quality isnt that great and the ringtones are crap, although it has an option of recording a ringtone from something else or transferring my infra red. i suppose for a colour phone its not a bad price.
as mentioned previously its cheaper with the answerphone!
Just had the twin 1250 set (same base model but has an answerphone) delivered today. For the price (with the voucher and via Quidco) they are a bit of a bargain as being GAP compatible you don't need a phone socket to run the second phone.

As this is the single version I'll comment on the basics. I think that the build quality is very good (at the discounted price), the ringtones are beyond naff but you can import others (midi files only) via the infra-red facility or record one (and only one) directly and use that, I just played a clip of an old style telephone ringing through a speaker and used that - it sounds OK. As ever you get what you pay for and despite minor disappointments I'd go through with this purchase again for the quality that I've got.

Worth noting though that the answerphone equipped 1250 is cheaper as observed above and the twin pack is a good deal if you want another phone without having to put in a socket, you just need a power point.
Thanks for this Ray and bluecow for the suggestion :)
I picked up one of the 1250s last week when they were £30 and was well impressed when it arrived, especially when I tx'd my whole directory to it from my mobile phone via infra-red in 2 minutes. Sadly however I have since found the handset crashes twice a day - it won't drop the line and won't respond to button presses. It's going back. YMMV.
this is a great offer, recieved mine last sat, excellent phone ,i had the one with answerphone
paid £29.99 at bt shop and £5.99 delivery.ordered on the friday and was delivered before 9.00 am on the saturday morning,no problems with it yet
