Newbie here so please be gentle! :) I posted this on the other BT broadband thread (but that is showing as expired which is not true!! - so posted this for anyone wanting to sign up for a new deal). Especially those that cant sign up with the sky offer currently!

Just ordered this (Sep 28th - 11am), In my BT account its showing my order as the following:

Phone: Unlimited Weekend Calls
Broadband: 25GB BT Infinity 1
TV: BT TV Starter
Mobile: BT Mobile 500mb Plan
My Sport: BT Sport Pack on BT TV
Paid: Line rental 1 yr Upfront

Total Spend:

Fixed Up Front Costs
Activation fee £59.00
Home Hub delivery charge £7.95
Line Rental Saver £205.08
Total: £272.03

Starter + Infinity 1 £8
BT Sport Pack - on BT TV FREE
AMC - on BT TV FREE
BT Mobile - 500MB Plan £5
BT Privacy Caller Display (Free for 12 months, then £1.75 so remember to cancel)
Total: £13.00 (per month)

Yearly Spend: £272.03 + (12 x £13) = £428.03
Less: £100 Mastercard + £10.00 Itunes Giftcard + £183.75 (TCB Cashback currently tracking) = £293.75
Net Annual Effective Cost: £134.28 Annual or £11.19 a month

The TCB is tracking lower than expected (so ill see what happens , but if it uplifts to the £215.25 as advertised, then the annual cost reduces further to £102.78 Annual or £8.56 a month!!!

No idea why this is cold (on the expired thread!), its still active and a bloody bargain, either at £11.19 or £8.56 a month! Sky can go and suck my big fat hairy balls! :)

Is this purely for Infinity 1 or is there a deal on Infinity 2 as well at the minute. I'm with VM and looking to jump ship to either Sky or BT, but finding time to get to a curry's/PC World for the Sky deal is proving a task.
#2
Looks like it is available for BT infinity 2, Im not sure on the economics of that deal though. The Cashback from TCB is the most volatile component. I just posted up the exact deal I took out this morning in order to generate £183.75 from TCB (although they are advertising the cashback as £215.25 - so hopefully can squeeze that little bit extra out of the deal!) :)

What if you take the TCB deal but then upgrade to Infinity 2 after installation?
#4
No idea mate - im only posting what I got this morning. You could give it a go once your cashback is paid out! (let us know the results) :)

Thanks. Trouble is i work 9 hours a day and have a 4 week old daughter, lol. Doing everything online is easier for me, however if it means me saving £400 a year then i might well have to try harder and get out there.

Title is pretty miss-leading - I thought you were not allowed to include cashback / vouchers in headline deals as they are not guaranteed ?
#9
Don't think is any good for me, i've voted hot anyway. I'm looking for TV as well and their starter tv + sport isn't what i am after. Without the kids channels it's a waste of money for me, and even adding the 20 premium channels isn't enough.
I think this deal is so cheap because it is capped mid tier internet (no good for gaming), and basic TV. For anyone looking to switch provider and are only light TV/Internet users this would be perfect.

The £11.19 a month is guaranteed, the £8.56 a month is potentially what it can be reduced to if the TCB cashback comes through as advertised. £11.19 a month (£134.28 annual) is guaranteed! My TCB came through within 2 hours.

They just increased the TV activation fee to £49, be careful out there!

NO, it's just gone back down to £10.Wish I had taken a screen shot of that, I was gonna do this yesterday and today the TCB without TV has dropped but the TV activation is definitely going up and down.

When was that? My calculation includes the £10 for TV activation and £49 for Infinity 1 activation. £59 total (and I signed up an paid this morning, 28/09/2016 11am)

I took out a similar deal a year or so ago then got offered an early upgrade to Infinity 2 at 14 quid a month for a 2 year commitment oO Ummed and arred but went for it as didn't fancy arsing about changing suppliers again plus we have 2 SIM deals with BT Mobile with the 5 quid deductions which we are more than happy with. Got the TV/BT Sport to carry on at 50% off normal price (2 quid) as well. First time I've ever remained loyal like this and time will tell if I was right...:|

TV activation fee £10
Infinity activation fee £49
Home Hub delivery charge £7.95

Doesn't help that I somehow keep posting twice, lol. The TV activation fee definitely went up from £10 to £49 then back to £10 within minutes of me reading your post. It's either that or I'm gonna have to take more water with it....
#19
I think it's like the Alas Smith and Jones sketch with the add 1p button at the petrol kiosk, just that someone at BT has a £49 and a £10 button. If I hadn't shown Mrs Tidler that it had changed I'd agree and would be booking myself in somewhere for a bit of a rest. Thanks for the deal anyway, I wasn't gonna take the TV but for a tenner I might.

Nowadays everyones on their smartphone or pc.. i'd always get unlimited broadband for peace of mind. For the fibre speed its easy to go over 25GB. Its like having a smartphone with 4G,but u only get 500mb data allowance.. lol whats the point init
#21
Just looked at the website and it has:

- Infinity 1 (25GB pcm): £8pcm
- Unlimited Infinity 1: £10pcm

So would this deal work withe the unlimited option (at an extra £24 cost for the year)?
#22
Wonder if they can charge £49 activation fee if you already have BT fibre (out of contract) .
BT sport .. bleh ... BT basic TV ... very Bleh ... the rest , ok.

Yes I would assume that the unlimited deal would work for £24 extra a year. I was simply looking for the cheapest possible telephone and minimum basic internet I could find. Up until now -ive had to go via ADSL deals. Im not even interested in the TV or the sim (they have to be added on in order to get the TCB component up!)

I just signed up for this :-

Bt Infinity unlimited fibre 52mb

Total Entertainment package (top one includes everything except sky movies and sports I believe)

Ultra HD upgrade includes Bt Sport 4k Ultra HD

Ultra HD You view + box , 1 tb

2nd You View + HD box for separate room

BT Mobile Sim / 500mb / 200 mins / unlimited texts

Line rental saver for 12months plus local weekend calls free

Total cost equivalent per month £38.05

This monthly price factors in the TCB , Pre-Paid Master card , Amazon voucher.

Thinking of signing up for this deal. Just going through the checkout.
I don't see an option to pay line rental upfront. How far through the checkout process is that if at all?

No cashback is guaranteed - Just because it's tracked doesn't mean it'll pay. Also,Being given a £100 prepaid MasterCard or an iTunes voucher doesn't reduce the monthly cost you have to pay.

I looked at the calculations you put in the OP but I still can't work our exactly what you'd be charged every month for this offer. Perhaps it's simple and I'm just tired.

Who taking any broadband with transfer limit? For god sake... it's like.. one week and it's done.. With Xbox One and digital games it's not even one game download... X)

The only thing that guaranteed is the £428.03 per year cost. The incentives from BT sometimes never turn up - a quick google / look on their customer forum will tell you that

I paid £272.03 to BT upfront and have a contract to pay another £156 over the year (12 x £13). Okay I will report back if I manage to get the cashback or not.

Fibre?

yes fibre max sky box sets and home phone 26.31 all in including line rental

OK, so just taking the unlimited fibre broadband, I think this is correct:

- Unlimited Inifinity 1: £10pcm
- Line rental: £18.99pcm
- Activation fee: £49

That's a total cost of £396.88 for the full 12-month contract. TCB pay £89.25 cashback for broadband only + £100 BT reward card. The net cost for the year is therefore £207.63 = ~£17.30pcm.

EDIT: And if you take calls (cost?), BT TV (£10 activation?) and a SIM (min £5pcm?), the cashback increases by a further £126, so that would reduce the net cost to ~£12pcm?

I think you're mixed up - BT charge £49 fibre activation and £10 TV activation(starter + free sport) on Infinity 1, however on Infinity 2 they have free broadband activation but hit you with a £49 charge for TV activation. Swings and roundabouts.

Not sure why you are getting £183 from TCB, as that's not even listed on their site. I doubt you will get £215.25, as Sport is not considered a TV pack - From TCB site - "BT Sport is not a TV package and will not be commissionable."

Yeah. saw that later and it is of course difficult to remember if you had clicked on the wrong package by mistake but after it showed the £49, I used the refresh button to make sure it had changed and it went back to £10 before 2 pairs of old but serviceable eyes. Anyway I think I have done a pretty good job of highlighting either my stupidity or BT's gouging abilities, I know which one I'm going for.

Beware of hidden broadband ‘cessation’ charges with BT. I just got stung £63 for switching to another provider.

Was that when you signed up with BT or when you left BT?
