Recommend Panasonic. I find the ear piece very comfortable compared to most DECTs. Call sound is loud enough, and features are good enough depending on model. Also depends on how much you want to spend and what features you will actually use.

yeah i would recommend panasonic too

Hi Majnu,

You could just try some new NiMh batteries in your handsets...but if you want to buy new - over the years I've had Phillips & BT not much good, Samsung are not bad, but Panasonic seem to make the best built/longest service handsets. Keep an eye on the deals in Argos & Tesco.

Ordered one so thanks for great post. Read reviews and seems ok to me. Lets be honest who really uses their house phone anyway. IS it not just there for sky tv to be plugged into really! Thanks again

Just recently bought a Panasonic after owning 2 lots of BT DECT phones. Suffice to say, both the BT ones were pretty appalling and low quality. The sound was so bad you would often mishear the person.

The Panasonic on the other hand is crystal clear with no static as well as an address book etc. I can't believe I waited so long to get a proper DECT phone, I'd just assumed the technology was poor based on the BT ones.

Don't want to spend loads on something I hardly ever use. £17.87 will do nicely.

yet people are willing to spend £300 plus on an iphone which gets new models every year. Atleast with house phones it will last for a good few years before it needs replacing. My BT ones are just poo lol.

I quite like the Siemens ones and the Pansonics ones do look nice too.

I had panasonic phones and bought this phone (well the triple set) and regret it ever since! Rubbish!
