Well, I always said I would never go back to BT fibre, after having had great service from Sky fibre, but money talks and this is a really good price. Yes, I am a hypocrite.

£150 prepaid Mastercard (basically cash) and £110 Quidco.

The £150 is part of the deal but Quidco, as always, is not guaranteed. That said, clear your cookies (or download a new browser) and there's no reason why it shouldn't track.

The figures:

12 x £28.99 monthly sub.

1 x £50 activation fee.

1 x £9.99 router delivery charge.

TOTAL for year: £407.87.

Less £150 prepaid MasterCard,

Less £110 Quidco cashback,

407.87-150-110 = £147.87 for the year. = £12.32 per month.

You also get to use BT WiFi hotspots, which seem to be more plentiful than Sky's Cloud hotspots (also, Sky have recently changed their app and stopped autoconnect).

All in all, £12.32 per month for up to 52mbps down and 9.5mbps up is a great price. Sky's fibre is not only more expensive, it's only 38mbps down. Plusnet is also 38mbps down and only 2mbps up!

I've done precisely the same thing. Was also happy with Sky, but as you say - money does talk.

Quidco tracked straightaway for me.

Tracked for me too, appeared in Quidco activity log about 20 minutes after submitted the order with BT.

Can you get caller display added as part of the order or do you need to add it later? I understood it's only free with a new contract and I wouldn't want a change to upset the quidco cashback.
#6
really tempted by this, with sky currently and swtiched to fibre alittle while back and the engineer really messed thing sup, its seems to be stable now. my only worry is about setting up my router again so i can see my cctv cameras outside my house.
#7
Also, is it not an additional few quid to add Anytime calls?
#8
Yes money talks. If it didn't why would you be looking on hukd? No you're not a hypocrite.

I'm currently with BT... but due to renew, can I go for this or is it exclusive to new customers only (12 months absence)?

Got exactly the same deal back in November, but with £130 Quidco. Happy with BT. Home Hub 6 doesnt seem as powerful as Talktalk router i had, but called BT and they sent another router out. Dont forget to apply for mastercard once your internet goes live, BT wont send automatically, im sure they rely on this....
#11
Can an existing customer get this deal
#12
just talking to sky to find out if im on contract on the fibre .... they take a age to get there questions out on there
#13
I'm currently with BT Infinity and never have had any issues that would make me look elsewhere.

Saying that, they really need to up their speeds. Virgin in my area are going to be doing 300mb soon so BT's offering of 76mb is starting to look slow.....
#14
BT website showing £29.99 any idea?

Can you use this mastercard anywhere?
easier to use online.
Because it doesn't come with a pin number you can't use it at all retailers. only those that will accept the swipe and signature method.

Mine came with a PIN. Only used it in shops, no problems so far.

I was effectively renewing as I had the get-out clause due to price increase.
You can't get the mastercard (and obviously any TCB/Quidco). That's new customers only applying online.
I was previously on the £10.99 deal (plus line rental). The price increase would have gone up to £13.49

What they did offer me, in return for renewing on 18 month contract was £12.50 (line rental already paid upfront) for Infinity 1 and weekend calls. Caller display thrown in for duration of contract

Hmm, perhaps I'm missing mine then. oh well, spent most of it, only got 42 pence left on there.

EDIT: just been online to check balance and there is a section that tells you your PIN. I was expecting it to posted out. Can buy a bar of chocolate now (_;)

I'm tempted by this deal.. but looking at quidco its saying cashback is only £10 for new customers to standalone infinity broadband.
It's £110 cashback for infinity broadband and calls ...which adds another £3.50 or £8.50 depending on what phone package you take?

That's what some poster said on the PlusNet thread. I've queried it there and that's why I raised it as a question here. In fact £1.32 extra per month was quoted on PlusNet thread for adding Anytime calls to the BT Infinity deal...

How is the PlusNet deal better than going with BT Unlimited Infinity 1:
> Unlimited Usage
> Fibre up to 52Mb speed
> 100GB Cloud
> Free Weekend Calls
> £29.49pm incl line rental (for 12 months)
> £59.99 up front fees
> £100 BT Reward Master Card
> Also £100 TopCashback (New Customer Infinity BT Broadband + Calls)
> Net Cost: (£353.88 + £59.99) - (£100 + £100) = £213.87 = £17.82pm

Works out £1.32 a month more if you have the unlimited call package like I did. Also after my last contact with them, all I can say is they're the worst company I've ever dealt with. I was lied to and they overcharged me over £200. Took 6 months to resolve with more lies and false promises. Sky have been great to be fair, just hope plusnet don't let me down. Worrying that BT own them.

The offer comes with free weekend calls included so that qualifies for £110 Quidco cashback. No need to sign up the extras.

I went for the £160 TCB and the TV deal for only £7.50 a month. After the cashback, it works out at only £40 a year for a pretty decent recording box with AMC and more. Combined with all the cheap NOWTV passes (which work with the BT box) you have a pretty comprehensive selection!

If going with BT

Please ignore the chance of getting Anytime calls for £1.32 more per month. That was apparently based on some longwinded comparison of BT vs PlusNet and is no longer relevant as the deals have moved on. Summary: It would cost £8.50 pm extra with no additional discounts for Anytime calls.

I would take Quidco cashback out of this equation!!!!Probability factor of refusal is too high in my opinion.

but could I set this up as a secondary package? cancel my current (granted I'll foot the 2 bills for one month) and still receive the perks (MasterCard and maybe quidco?)

hmm, in theory that should work. Don't forget you'd also be footing the activation fee (for something that shouldn't require reactivating)

I am with BT as well and due for renewal they offered me lot worse than new customers. So left now for a month you can go to nowtv combo and broadband (1 month contract) than come back to bt as new customer after a month. Now tv charge £44(connection) and £29.99 per month with £85 topcashback.so If you cancel after first month it is almost free.
