DECT (Digitally Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) phones are seldom something to get excited about, but the BT Reveal goes some way to buck that trend, sporting a glassy black finish on both the handset and the stand. When off duty, the phone masquerades as a minimalist timepiece, the time appearing on the back of the handset. This same space displays the caller's name, allowing you to decide whether to answer, or make use of the built-in answering machine. A blue glow from the handset alerts you to any new messages. There is a Sim card reader (Not with 3 Network SIM Cards), so you can shortcut the process of entering your contacts by simply transferring those on your mobile phone, and enough space for 255 names. The phone, which sells for about pounds 100, can also send and receive text messages, although there's only room for 30 messages in the inbox. It's unfortunate that when you pick up the handset, the side with the keypad is so unattractive, harking back to the eighties. It's slightly incongruous compared to the futuristic front." The Guardian, Thursday April 5th, 2007

The ultimate in designer chic, this handset slips on to the base in a sleek black wall. Fantastically designed phone with all the high-end features you'd expect.

I had one of these and it went faulty! I rang BT as it was still under warranty and they said it was a known fault and couldn't be repaired!! They are a lovely looking phone though if you can put up with the finger prints you put on the handset every time you pick it up (Polishing cloth is included);-)

The handset is a little on the large side but when its placed on the base station it looks fantastic!!! When you have a message the blue light on the front glows 8-)
You can register other BT cordless handsets to the base station! I think it was a maximum of 4 but don't quote me!
Hope this helps.

I had a BT phone once the Mango Model.
They should have labelled it Lemon, because thats exactly what it was, went str8 back to Argos.
I not have have a Panasonic, the one wit the chrome bezel, and it is the Bees Knees, IMO the Panny phones are far superior to the BT phones.

As a matter of interest what was the fault that yours had?
And what did BT do to solve the problem?

I have one of these it's a great looking phone, but it's pretty poor in use.

The handset is badly designed and the features are like a mobile phones 10 years ago. That said that goes for most home phones these days.

Phone would start ringing but you couldn't answer it no matter what you did!! Then the handset screen would go blank and then re-boot itself.
Bt said they couldn't replace it as it was a known problem and the phone was being discontinued! They told me to return it from where I bought it and get a full refund! which I did.
