Awesome looking road bike. Everyone banged on about how good the triban 3 red was at this kind of price point. This is the next level up. Carbon fork. sora groupset. Looks the bees knees. Shame it's only available in small.
Would have gone myself but at 5'10" I'd look ridiculous

Bargain intro bike if you're the right size. Heated.
#2
Great price - worth checking local stores to see if they have other sizes in stock.

The Fit500 is also reduced by 100 but in store remaining stock only.

Great bike, great deal.

This is one of the hottest deals I've ever seen on here. For a NEW Triban 5, this is ridiculous. If you are looking for a new bike under £500 ish, get this. Get it now. You will not regret it.

It would be a hot deal if they had any decent sizes.

Only had the small ones for some time, I think they only sell during pantomime season

51cm isn't good for 5,8. You'd be riding a 54cm.

the current T5 is the old T3 Red - according to a decathlon employee I was chatting with when I was considering selling my T3 when I bought my FC5 from there.

Just changed the model names/colours to maintain the component cost apparently.

I'm away on holiday at the moment. Does anyone know what the maximum height this is suited for. I seem to get the feeling that the Triban 5 is quite a small frame anyway. I'm thinking of this for my son and he is 5ft 3, but know that this deal will not last too long. I know I can return it but just wanted proper feedback from owners of Triban 5

It's the 48 size I'm talking about as this seems to be the only one available

Cheers might just order that , sick of the mud in winter on my daily commute switching to the road if my back can handle the switch in stance

was at Decathlon Surrey Quays couple days ago with a mate. He got a Triban 300 (white Triban 3 with new paintwork) for £279. The 500 was also going for £359, from 379

I have last years Triban 7 and for the money its a ridiculously good bike. The three has awful shifters but the five is a fine machine also.

Bought this a year ago. Probably the best bike for the price. Riding is so smooth and very silent also. Should be called as stealth bike.
#30
Its not excessively heavy for an entry level bike either..

Cold because you can't afford one?

Let's see you post your £100 bike then...I'd like to see what feedback that gets ;)

he was lying, 9sp Sora is incomparably better than the 2300 (frame and fork could be the same, though)

Wow guys. Where have you been? I thought this deal was fizzling out at about 80degs cos no one looked at it for 4 days. Gutted its only in small cos I would have had it in a heartbeat!
#34
Hmm. Are the smaller sizes really on 650c wheels? Cos that's going to really limit your choice of replacement wheels, tyres and even tubes. That'd be a deal breaker for me, to be honest.

An overly-small frame isn't otherwise the end of the world - loads of seat post looks pretty pro, if that's your thing! Maybe less so on a btwin, mind you...

Yep, 48 and 51 have 650c wheels. So you're not only looking like a pro with a high saddle, but with 650c wheels too.
