NOTE: This is a PORTABLE External Hard Drive. This means that it can be powered by your laptop's USB port (it doesn't need a mains power supply) and it's a lot smaller than conventional external hard drives, making it a lot more favorable.

It also uses Turbo USB technology (5400RPM), this is the fastest portable hard drive on the market. Its also very durable and less prone to being damaged compare to other alternative portable hard drives.

Buffalo customer services sucks a**e, Extremely incompetant. I have sent several emails, every time I have received a reply either asking for information which was in the email they are replying to, supplying links that do not work, something I have also told them.

I've already posted information about this product. Which, may I add, you then made an incorrect comment about:

"Problem with that is that it uses a heavy Mains power."

Here's the original post, with further information:

My boss has one of these, feels a bit cheap and nasty.

Not bad for the price but the Iomega 250Gb from Comet is a steal at £39

I would prefer one of these too but the (single) customer review on Amazon puts me off a bit: http://www.amazon.co.uk/250GB-HDD-USB2-0-PRESTIGE-2-5IN/dp/B001DCGLY8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1231664044&sr=1-1

Did your boss have this trouble with his one, BK?

I had trouble with this Iomega, the software is useless, We tried to set it up and so did a friend who work in IT, he said the Amazon buyer was completely correct in what he said. In the end I took it back to PC world.
