Love the Buffalo drives. The energy saving auto power down is the best around. Wake straight up again as soon as accessed. Tried many different brands and ended up using three Buffalos attached to my Airport extreme. Recently pulled out the drives and put them in a Drobo instead. All still working fine.

I use a USB pen for playing films AVI's etc on my limit bd-m100. would this act the same way a pen, i need more storage. 1TB is a bit excessive for my use but i could empty my lappy with photos and put it on there too.

Don’t buy it!! I had one last year, had it has a back up for my movies and music and it crashed. I lost everything!! ebuyer sent me out another and it was dead on arrival.

Do yourself a favor, protect what matters to you, spend abit more and buy a decent make. I bought a Western Digital My Book, it has never failed, just sits there quietly and does its job!

AWFUL

That is one of the most hated "features" to anyone using external drives.

do you have one?
if so - maybe you're just one of the unfortunate ones... coz i've not had problems with mine!
