I've had bad luck with this external drive, bought 3 of them about 18 months ago, they've been in the same place (not moved around) the whole time. Two of them have failed and the third has started to sound like it's going to fail. I got them replaced under warranty but I don't trust them to store anything that isn't backed up in more than one place anymore.

I know just because mine failed that doesn't make them 'bad' but two failed and one failing seems a bit excessive.

I like the idea of having a 1TB external hard drive, even though I dont desperately need one but I think I'm going to hold off until they drop to about £30. Shouldn't be too long and I'm sure the first place I hear of it will be on here :)

Thanks for the headsup James, 3 out of 3 failures doesnt sound too promising :S Think i ll go for the WD (bit cheaper too ;) )
