Looks like the whole range is down in price, but this is the cheapest deal for a 1.5TB and although its not as good £/ GB as the 2TB its better than the 1TB, depends how much storage you want and how much money you have to spend.

yeah, shame all the cheap ones cant be in same store though to make it easier :)
i am still tempted by a nas but haven't taken the plunge
is there any benefit of these ones over a stora with free 500gb drive then a 1 tb drive added?

Had My eye on this for the past week. It will probably take quite a few years to fill up the 1.5TB & by then something a lot faster & bigger will be out no doubt so I think I will go for this rather than the 2TB.

Don't thing this will be great for media streaming (DLNA/Upnp). They're crap for both.. The Qnap TS210 wins everytime

as long as you are only streaming stuff that doesnt need transcoding (eg HD mkv files), the linkstation is more than adequate. i've got the old version of this, and it works perfectly for streaming xvid files to my PS3...

When I had the 2TB version of this, it kept dropping out, I had to keep restarting it all the time, pain in the a$$....

sounds like you either got a bad one, or theres something up with your network. i've only rebooted mine three times in the year or so of having it, and that was due to me installing bits and fiddling with it. linkstation+200mbps powerline ethernet kit=damn fine ps3 streaming
