BE CAREFUL when ordering that you're calcultions are correct. I "guestimated" my needs and bought £14 worth..... needless to say, the OH was far from impressed when she got home to a drive full of the stuff :p

You insulated your drive?!

I got 36 rolls for a pound each and used the lot. Got about 350mm lining the loft now, up from almost nothing so hoping for a cosier winter this year. Good luck on this year's insulation deals everyone!

Ha ha, we had a small CRANE last time, it was quite funny on our small road! Good luck everyone, and make sure you use one of those paper suits - they'd run out for us and the OH had to buy one, which didn't stop him itching for days :-(

Seems like a good deal. I assume the "cheap" price will be displayed at some point on either the NPower web site or Build Centre. Just tried to do a quote and it came to well over £90! Seems a tad expensive at the moment....

hot deal

Hope it will be £1 per roll. Keep promising myself to get some fitted but too lazy to install them.

hardley expensive seeing as a roll costs @£15 or so + vat from rockwool ands is sold to the trade at around £17+ vat :)

did this last time, bloody bargain.

I am looking at it online and it comes in at about GBP5 per roll including the 2 4 1 deal. but when i clicked thru to the buildcentre website there was nothing in the order form. I called the Buildcentre website and tehy confirmed the pricing - which was around GBP5 per roll inc VAT. This deal has been running for most of the year he said, when I asked him if there was a 'special' deal coming where the cost would be GBP3 or under he said he had heard nothing about that ..............

you get goggles, mask, gloves and a guide in a walace and gromet carrier

it's not free it costs 1p :)
#19
As I said, our branch "ran out" of all of the safety kit that was meant to be included. Just saying to not leave it but to make sure you buy one if this happens.
#20
yes it all came in the W&G bag, my favourite bit! the suit did seem to be part of the kit tho - it was very much a use once item. Didn't cost me 1p either. There wasn't the rush the second year (when it was £2).

either way DEFINITELY get a mask. Gloves are essential. Eye protection, I didn't use, after attempting to, it just kept steaming up - impossible to do anything. I made sure my loft was well lit, and kept looking for airborne particles in front of the lamps - I was impressed with this stuff which threw up virtually no fibres into the air. Only my existing, old lagging spewed plenty when disturbed.

Get straight in the shower when done!

Thanks Mini0ne. I'm planning on adding insulation to my loft and I think I'll be patient and wait a few more weeks until the price drop comes into play:)

Use the calculator: http://shop.build-center.co.uk/build/indexa1.html

Your loft space is probably the same size as the floorspace for your house, and if you have no insulation (or want to go mental) pop in 0 for the current depth. If you have some insulation, pop in 100, and Bob had carnal knowledge of your aunt.
#28
Also for what it's worth I couldn't get the site working in Chrome, but it worked in IE. Caveat browser!
#29
I dont know my floor space either lol
#30
I just tried to order £66 worth but it came out in checkout as £100s of pounds for some reason

I ordered a truck full last time at £1 roll. Ordered so much that my house was full of them and a relatives was too. Was like a maze. NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN.
#33
This was a great deal last year, but as said be careful not to over order.

We have a reasonably large loft. I ordered 30 rolls, and only used about 14 !
Took months to offload the surplus to friends etc.
#34
Noted for when it happens. I need to do mine, thanks
#35
Any update today?
#36
Ordered mine by phone as website seems a bit wonky. Great deal. Thanks OP.
#37
This might be a silly question but is this for Npower customers only? I couldnt see anything in the terms and conditions and it seemed to let me go through to the order page.
#38
no - available to all regardless of energy supplier
#39
be aware that one roll is the same as what b&q quote as three rolls ie 3x400mm rolls in one pack

Mine was delivered today - it filled the entire lorry and they craned it off - should make life nice and easy. It comes with a mask,, goggles, gloves. Poor driver was saying that they have tons of the stuff to deliver - and they only have these great big trucks - and like he said - the first delivery he had to make (me) - he couldnt get even close to the house - so had to dump it 100m away. - I can see them renting transits for a few weeks - he was going to moan to his boss ;)
