they arent the best but if your not expecting them to last forever they will do the job

This generalised "all discs are Crap unless they are Taiyo Yuden" really is getting boring

I got these last time and never had a single coaster - Datawrite Titanium Branded 16x DVD-R

Generally burn discs at the lowest speed you can - less errors = less coasters

for 10 p they cant go wrong

Thats why they are so cheap. Absolute rubbish

If you want coasters then fine... :)

I wonder how many people say crap when they havent actually used them and just assume it due to brand name and/or dye.

I use infiniti discs as my quality discs and to save anything that I want to last a while.

I have used Bulkpaq and they are fine, work perfectly so why are they crap? You just have to remember when using discs with cheaper dye, they won't last so use it for temp stuff, not long term, giving copies to others and keep the best discs for yourself.

I have personally used them to backups that I give to others or just use them without worrying if they get damaged or not.

For the price and quantity and half decent (or half crap whichever way u want to look at it), Im giving this heat

they suck !!!!, better of paying more for better discs

The CMC dye on these is actually quite well regarded. Made in Taiwan and a few google searches reveal quite a few positive reviews.

Definately worth it for a Lady Godiva. Ordered me some.

Google it and you will see, or is that too much hard work for you? I would post a link but as you're too bone idle to explain why you think they are 'abysmal', I don't think I'll bother.

And speaking of talking crap, you sure have done a lot of it in this forum lately. Here are some priceless comments you have made about other posters deal's.

Mascherano

a notorious product. wouldnt have it if it was free

voted cold because its always this price

average deal, voted cold

not impressed by this at all

its always that price and its a shoddy product at the best of times

misleading title, change it immediately OP or you will be reported

not that amazing, and quidco probably will not pay

Why don't you post a link as to why they are 'abysmal' FFS and maybe I'll bother to post where I read some positive reviews.

Utter gash - I've used Bulkpaq Orange before with a 70% failure rate.

Buy something with a Ritek dye - even overprints will be better than these!

Utter GASH.

Riteks are not better than these, there are different types of ritek and you claiming ritek dye is better is incorrect, you need to specifiy what type of ritek and the dye on them as not all riteks have the same dye.

ANY Ritek dye is better than CMC.

I've burnt thousands of DVDRs over the years and will never buy CMC discs again, Bulkpaq branded or otherwise.

That's a very bold and incorrect claim. Are you aware there are varying degrees of quality when it comes to ritek dye. Have you used all of them?

Are you familiar with the degradation concerns that were synonymous with certain ritek media?

If these disks are 'crap, utter gash etc' then could these people please explain to me why
I have burnt 44 from a 50pk and have had not had one bad write/coaster?

Great price for these disks and I'll be ordering some more for myself.

I Remember years ago I bought some Princo's with no coasters.
Went to use them 6 months down the line and the majority wouldn't read anymore.
I have ordered 1 pack of these Bulkpaq's from SVP as I usually burn disks to pass onto others , for 10p its worth a punt.

Compared with the degradation of CMC media which is about 3 hours from burning?

I used to resell these. For a while no problems they were a great seller then started getting alot of returns. So I stopped selling them and moved to other types The trade price was £3.90 all in.
Personally I'm using Maxell Ritek G05's (12.50 for 100) and Taiyo Yudens (10.50 for 100)

If anyone wants supplier info I might be able to help.
#26
Had 100 and never had a coaster so as it proves the success of burning the disc is not just the dye but the burner you use.
Unless you had experience there is no way you can say its crap. As I said before, I had more success using these than the verbs. I have both a Pioneer and LG writer and use imgBurn. As a result I dont buy verbs, I use these type of discs if I want something cheap for temp backup or to give to someone, otherwise I use infiniti discs as they are far superior. Probably why it costs a lot more.

So for those who say its just crap, a reason why (apart from dye) would help.

Don't suppose you care to provide further details about this alarmingly high 70% failure rate you encountered?

i.e. where did you buy them from and what dye did they have, not all bulkpaq orange's have the same dye. What speed did you burn your discs at and what writer did you use.

70% failure rate is every 7 in 10, 70 in 100 or 700 in 1000.

CMC, do not degrade after 3 hours, well mine don't. If your's degraded after 3 hours then you are either doing something wrong, have a dodgy writer or you have bought some really bad fakes. For someone who claims to have 'burnt thousands of DVDRs', you are not putting up a very convincing case.

If you're going to make such exuberant statements at least provide additional information.

Because I have used them before, had plenty problems. Otherwise no point in putting an opinion.
I only use Ridisc DVD and CD and have had about 1 coaster in 4 years from over 1,000.

Each to their own so if it works for you then go for it.....

Recieved my order last week and one of the tubs is broken resulting in several damaged discs.

The outer packaging is fine but the broken parts of the tub are not in the box so it looks like SVP have pulled a swifty and sent them to me fully knowing they were broken.

Still waiting for a reply after a week but overall not impressed at all by the shoddy service and 'customer support'.

is it worth bothering for 30p worth of disks?
SVP always send out broken stuff, you have to accept that and move on

The discs are well worth the price I paid.

Just did a disc scan of one of these discs and the quality was rated at 98%. A lot of my more expensive media is lower than that.

And that's after almost a year. Great discs.
