Bulova watches are now owned by Citizen with the usual quality that this company is renowned for. But what makes this watch interesting is the quartz precisionist movement. Accurate to +/- 10 seconds a year and a continual sweep second hand of 16 BPS. 300 mtr waterproof as well.
After seeing another deal for this watch on here with a stainless bracelet at £187, I found this watch with a rubber strap far cheaper. UK seller on Amazon that's an established jeweller, so far better than risking buying from outside the EU.

Nice quirky watch. Good daily beater and at this price not bad at all. Heat.

If you really want the stainless bracelet, H Samuel has the watch with it for £187...... as posted by this deal.

Stick to rubber IMO, more comfortable and more suitable for the watch. Bracelets at this price range are rarely solid link and often rob you of well earned wrist hair! I am not entirely familiar with this watch but I would bet semi-solid links at best.

Does seem to have solid links on the stainless bracelet...... but an extra £67 is a lot more dosh.

Aye its hard to tell, but I bet the outers are hollow (look at the extra little creases as they join the mid link) with a solid centre - I may well be wrong but my spider senses are tingling. Its a nice deployment though but as you say I wouldn't cough £67 for it.

Personally I rarely keep the original straps on watches and swop them around with leather and nato straps.

Yep, you may be right...... its better links on the lugs than the usual fold over links though.

Dammit couldn't resist..... another watch for the collection

Hot :)

Unfortunately I still haven't gotten over losing my Seiko Kinetic due to their dodgy straps.

It was one of the ones in the early '90... Noticed the strap was breaking and brought it back to H Samuels....same thing happened on the second strap...a tear formed half way around.
Didn't see it the 3rd time - just came home with no watch on my hand :(

Ain't gone silicon/rubber since .... well except hehehe!

One of the reasons I like nato straps, apart from the fact I've never known them break, even if one of the watch lug spring pins breaks the watch still stays on your wrist.

I really like the look of this. Wish I had the cash. Great find Biker Jeff

Cool ... I had never heard of NATO straps before :)

Looks cheap and tacky to me.

Got mine today, really nice piece, looks stunning and the rubber strap is actually quite good. Great value at this price. I wife initially thought I'd blown about £400 when she saw it. Relieved when I showed her the receipt ☺

Well it does a bit. Whoever said "I know what this bezel needs, fake bolts!" should be fired.

The black version does look good though.

it is rank in my opinion. gaudy designs on these ones. a non working bezel with industrial style screws is terrible I reckon. not going to knock the deal as there will be someone who wants this and we'll pay a good price for it, but sorry if one of my mates bought this is think he'd lost his marbles

"Bezel Function unidirectional" Sounds like its working.

Anyway what is the name / process whatever that describes the back on these? Looks like it is some kind of multipoint clamp to hold the back to remove it? I only have cheap chit that have pry points.

Its a screw caseback, most watches that are 200mtrs WR have them, because its more water tight than prise off backs.

Doh! I didn't see that one coming unfortunately. I must have had a blonde moment there! These easily removed then at home?

Yep, easy, you're supposed to use a special tool, but I just use needle nosed pliers and open the pliers to correspond to opposite indents.

Also, if you put small pieces of gaffa tape over the indents, the pliers wont slip and you wont scratch the caseback.

I need a watch it's because sometimes I need to know the time and do rather than whup out my mobile as 99% of the population would, I prefer to have a shiny shiny on my wrist which says the time. That way friends and family or just general onlookers can stare at it with envy as I look at the time.

Wish my watch was that shiny shiny., they all said.

Well worth the ridiculous sum of money in order to tell the time imo.
#28
I can't understand people blathering on here about how this watch subjectively looks to them.....

Or did the site change to HotUKDoIthinkthislooksniceornotspecificallytome.com when I wasn't looking?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but given that this is substantially cheaper with this deal than it is anywhere else it is therefore a deal. Hence the heat it has rightfully received.

Biker Jeff, thanks for finding it and taking the time to post it for the benefit of others.

I personally dont mind the odd comment on the looks as sometimes you can get blinded by the discount.
Still voted hot as its cheap compared to previous prices which is the main thing :)
