Just purchased this watch in store at silverburn store in Glasgow.

Fantastic watch and a great price for the quality you get. A big and chunky watch with carbon fibre sports detailing.

Its is a precisionist model with accuracy of +/- 10 seconds a year.

It also has a very smooth sweeping seconds hand which is very rare on a quartz watch.

Grab a bargain while you can!

Very nice..... tempted myself as it has the Precisionist movement. 300mtr WR as well. May have a look at this in the flesh at Samuels.
Can be bought online with a rubber strap as well for £12 cheaper.

The picture doesn't do it justice to be honest. I would definitely go for the metal strap as the carbon fibre detailing is very nice

Very nice
10% Quidco as well at the moment I think

£60 cheaper on a well know auction website.

Noted it is cheaper on well known auction site. However most are from the U.S.A and you will get a an Customs tax bill via the Courier (not the online seller). So you will end up paying a cost closer to the H Samuel price. Import charges are around $70 currently. Also a pain to send it back if anything wrong

This is a stunning watch. Had it a few weeks now, bear in mind it's a heavy watch.

It strap is extensible if you go diving and need wear a diving suit without taking pins out or anything. It's a pressure vessel lol as it survives at 300mt.

Overall nice chunky watch. Highly recommended.

but is it genuine? Ebay is flooded with fakes / copies of all qualities. Stick to a genuine retailer.

Deal link in above post is for a UK seller on Amazon, that is also a well known established jeweller.

180 pounds for a CITIZEN watch Cold yes its a Citizen watch you cant dress a turd
#13
mineral crystal/glass? scratches occur so very very easily. cheap and nasty glass...and anything with a rrp of over £200 (and arguably £100) should most surely have sapphire glass
#14
Rubbish watch has a quartz movement watches that sell for 400 should be high beat automatic

what's wrong with a citizen ?

Lets be honest Citizen does not cry out luxury for 180 notes their are far better watches out their. but i guess it depends on if you like wearing a fancy turd on your hand or a proper watch

Nothing wrong with Citizen, well made and good features for the money. A lot better than all the fashion watches most the population wear that cost double the amount with mineral glass!

Member for nearly three years - in all that time you've made six comments - SIX!!

And THREE of those are on this post, slagging off a watch which, lets be fair, may be pretty to some and ugly to others, seeing as these things are subjective.

Why can't you be more constructive?

Better if you just keep your thoughts to yourself for another few years.

There's some rubbish posted on this thread..... Citizen are decent quality watches that are reasonably priced like Seiko, but both have excellent quality control.
What makes this watch special is the Precisionist movement. Accurate to +/- 10 seconds a year, whereas most quartz have that tolerance per month. Also this movement has a continuous sweep of 16 BPS, twice as smooth as Seiko's auto's at 8 BPS.
There is advantages and disadvantages to both mineral and sapphire crystal.

This watch has an interesting and quality movement, and that's why people would be interested in it, as something different in a watch collection.
#21
so a 400 pound watch does not come with mineral glass lol , the fashion watches guess this says allot about your watch experience.
lets see for the original rrp of this turd i could get a Tissot better made better movement , or a Victorinox swiss movement.
the list can go on.

It actually performs better than "standard high beat ".............

Bulova Precisionist's second hand can sweep much smoother than high beat automatic watches such as Rolex Submariner or Grand Seiko Hi-Beat 36000. This is because the Rolex movement runs at 8 beats per second (28,800 bph) and the Seiko at 10 beats per second (36,000 bph) while the Bulova Precisionist's second hand runs at 16 beats per second (57,600 bph).

I'd agree that like most mainstream watches, it's drastically overpriced at nearly £400, but reasonable enough at this price if you like the style. I don't personally ( looks a bit obvious for my liking, but each to his own taste.

RRP on watches is always fantasy. I take no notice of them.
#24
Nice you can read wikipedia the second hand does not sweep as smooth as they state their is a definite twitch.
Citizen got rid of the original tuning fork and added a third fork to the quartz resonator unlike the old Bulova watches.
if you owned the old Bulova you would hear a silent hum on the movement. these have a Tick .

compared to something like an omega you will lose about 10 seconds a year.

IS THIS CONSTRICTIVE FOR YA
PS yes 3 years i have had this account if you did as much research checking the facts about the watch maybe you would know the difference between a turd and a watch
#25
I bought the £619 one instore a few weeks back.
Ive found the bracelet scratches quite easily...

You sound like a really nasty insulting little troll. Go away, it is abundantly clear that nobody values your opinion and nobody wants it.

First time I've ordered from H Samuel and their delivery service is a bit pathetic. Estimated delivery next Wednesday 30th July. To have it delivered to the store takes 5 to 8 working days!

The high street retailers wonder why they struggle to compete with the likes of Amazon etc!

by the way i have only been a member for 2 years 11 month cricky your math is disastrous you better stick to coloring in and leave the deals that involve math to the big boys

Someone needs some happy pills, sounds like you've had a harsh life! Maybe ring the Samaritans and talk over your problems with them :)

£67 cheaper if you don't mind a rubber strap instead of stainless...... you'll get far faster delivery as well.

I read these posts to learn a little, not to listen to self-opinionated fools like miserymen who clearly know everything about everything. These are fine watches, as are most Citizen watches and nobody takes the slightest interest in the retail prices, or your over-inflated opinions.

The mineral glass is harder than the stainless steel the watch is made from. So while you at it you might want to re-spec the case to Osmium. Also Sapphire crystal's are hard, but shatter on failure - horses for courses.

I also have a 2007 Rolex Submariner model 16610 but the Citizen Stiletto (the turd) keeps better time, Mr miserymen.
