Great price! Hot!

Just remember to keep these on the floor and not on a surface or table. My little girl managed to get out ours for the first time when I put her on the worktop for 5 minutes to wash the floor and she broke her leg in the fall.

I know it has all the warnings on it but everyone I know with one puts it on a table so baby can see what is going on around them.

are thes any good?

in my personal opinion, no. i bought one for my little boy and he hated it. he is a big boy and when he was old enought o use it, his legs were so chunky that he was literally wedged in! also, he managed to tip it up while in it and nearly cracked his head open if i hadn't caught him. (he was on the floor, laminated) don't get me wrong, people rave about them, so it is just my personal experience, but i don't think they are a neccessity. weigh up the pro's and con's, then make your own mind up - ask other mum's etc.... hope this helps.

not voted either way - cheap for them though, just not something i would recommend.

I have to agree with this from personal experience. My son would get wedged into his really didn't like it.

We didn't get on with the one we bought. For two of our kids it didn't provide enough support and they were uncomfortable and the other we tried it with just climbed out which sort of defeated the object. They might work for some kids but for us it was a waste of money.

I think these are fantastic if you have a baby that is happy to just sit. Ours just tried to wiggle out of it all the time and cried whenever we put him near the thing, so ended up giving it away.

Good price though, voted hot.

Fantastic. We were given one of these for our oldest daughter when she was a baby by the physiotherapist as she had a sterno mastoid tumour in her neck and was unable to move it to one saide. Saved her head from becoming too flat from lying on the floor. Have now bought one for my baby boy and it's great. Also got the tray and use this as a first stage high chair. Would recommend to anyone.

I got one for Daisy last week from a neighbour. I am still not sure about the thing, first time she went in she didn't really like it & was lopsided. I put her in for maybe 5 mins a day but she does not get really excited

She is 3 months. I read on website that they can be used from 6 weeks! NO way would I put a tiny baby in it!

Surprisingly warnings are there for a reason, sadly they can't cover every possible scenario - but then you'd think most people would have the common sense not to put a baby in an unsecured rubber seat on a worktop whilst cleaning the floor with their back turned - maybe you should email bumbo and get them to add it to their warnings.

We had just the opposite lol, our little girl was not chunky enough!
She didn't like it, and could get out of it quite easily - an accident waiting to happen so we stopped using it. I think you really need to try the baby 'in' it at a local shop first to see if it's to their and your liking or its money wasted when you need it most.

good price. my ds1 loved his, but my ds2 and dd didn't like it. so all babies are different.

My ds1 was on the floor on his playing with toys, when i turned around he fell out. when they learn to put their feet on the floor and push backwards, its time to put the bumbo away!! fab for first stage weaning though.

I have to agree too... my little girl hated it, she screamed every time I put her in it and she arched her back trying to wriggle out of it. She too had chubby legs and was wedged in!.... so not worth buying in my opinion! I only bought one as everyone said how great it was!!!

This is a great item, my little one sits in this without any problems and watches while I cook diner etc, she was in this from 12 weeks and still uses this @ 24 weeks. Shes only it it for a max of 10 - 15 mins at a time.

H&R! needing to get one for someone

they are absolutey safe if you follow the guidelines OR use common sense

leaving your child in one on a table is stupid
#24
Good price (re what they normally sell at) and although my daughter is only 2 1/2 it reminds of the funny times when she would get her thighs and bum stuck - figure like her mums :) and then try and stand up..... Also used at her nursery and she probably sat in one for hours...
#25
we got the one for my niece from a friend (for free), which was a good thing as she hated sitting in it..Maybe she was a clingy baby but after 5 mins she wanted out of the thing..Not to forget you can tell when they are too strong to sit in them because if you turn your back they will lift their bum out of the chair and pull themself out haha
#26
I personally think that you should sit babies on the floor. Helps then develop muscles and balance better. More natural.

Thanks for your opinion - much appreciated. I'm just warning others - must be great to never ever make a misjudgement in your life.

I don't think you'll need to warn others, I cant think anyone else would do something so stupid.
A mis-judgement is one thing - we all do it sometimes its part of learning to bring up a child.
What you did was 'asking for an accident to happen' the idea is to keep your baby out of harms way, not put it in it.
I'm sorry if you find my opinion harsh, but what do you expect when you post a story like that on a forum?

Whatever.

There isn't a day goes past when I wish I hadn't done that. Yes, I screwed up - big time. I caused my little one pain and I who ever wants to do that to their child?

When I bought mine when they first came out the picture on the box showed a baby sitting in it on a table and proclaimed it was safe for use on any level surface. They didn't have any of the warning stickers on it they do now.

I DO know people who do put them up on tables, etc. All I want to say is, anyone with a Bumbo, please learn from my stupidity, and don't be tempted to put them in harms way.

End of.

My daughter's fat little thighs didn't fit in the Bumbo but I bought one anyway and am lending it to a friend who's having twins.. not for everyone but not a bad spend as far as it goes - you can but try these things ;-)
