I remember when McDonald's used to sell it back in the 80's. I used to love getting some on the way home from the ice skating rink in Bournemouth town enter.

A 30p saving?

Heated. This is a little different from US root beer... not so much carbonation... more traditional I guess. Still got 2 bottles left from the Amazon deal in the summer, so hopefully they have them stocked on Saturday so I can stock back up. :)

What's the best and easily sourced root beer in the UK that doesn't cost a fortune? One that's near to the U.S versions but doesn't come with inflated prices due to being imported from the states?
#12
Is this root beer or ginger beer?? Surely two completely different drinks

Mamboboy maths is my strong point hence I can work out what 4.99USD is in GBP.

Oh and if its meant to be a £ sign and not a $ sign in the OP I think you will find that's a £2 saving, 4.99-2.99=2.

I take it maths isn't your strong point?

None. The most easily sourced is Carters in Asda but it has sweeteners instead of sugar... and sugar is a big part of what makes root beer so good.

Root beer fans unite! I just don't know how some people can dislike root beer, one of the best flavors on Earth. I used Carters for a while as it was the only thing available without an obscene price tag, Tesco started selling Boylan, it's a rip at £1.70 a bottle but I do treat myself to it sometimes, too hard to resist when it's right in front of you. I also remember McDonalds selling it years ago, it was the only drink I bought from them back then.

I'll be stocking up on this, thanks or the heads-up, just wondering how much root beer I can carry on a motorbike without killing myself, 45 mins each way to my nearest Waitrose :p

Shame we don't have more root beer here in the UK.

I tried Carters a while back but I wasn't keen on it and it didn't taste the same. Saying that though it had been 10 years since I last visited the US so maybe I'd forgotten what it tastes like over there. Looking forward to returning to the US this year and reminiscing :)
