Bundle deal of Cycle Trainer + bottle - Reserve & collect - £87.58 - Halfords

GemoGemo

The cycle trainer on its own is £101.49, which if you look around the interweb is an ok price - but if you add the bottle in the bundle deal you get both things for £87.58 which his a very good price. One dodgy review but all the others I have read are good - better deal than Wiggle etc.

Totally different product which makes no mention of differential levels of resistance and has no remote adjustment.

That's two mega fails in one thread so far - are you going for the perfect hat-trick, or what?

Very good price for a very good trainer. I bought this exact item about 6 weeks ago from Wiggle, I paid £101.49 so with the discount that's a hot deal.

Just for a moment I thought the alternative deal with the front wheel block for £92.70. Then I remembered I've already got a brick!

Bought this very deal a few weeks ago. Sorry, forgot to post. Unfortunately my Carrera Crossfire 21" 700c bike wheels were too big. If you have a larger bike, ask halfords to try before you buy. Good deal though - this buy a bottle with an item for less deal is also available on other stuff like bike rollers too.

I'm getting one and looking forward to the winter for a change. If you need tyres this looks a great offer

I have a mountain bike with 26", very knobbly tyres, will it be very noisy?

Thanks for posting I've ordered one and pick it up Tuesday. Have ordered a cheap wheel raiser off eBay for about £8 including postage.

I am just saying you can get it cheaper. Why would they sell a product like that, with out any levels of resistance as you say. Common sense dictates that. As for 2 fails allready in one thread. Grow up. I wasnt slating the post, i was only mentioned that you could get a similar product for a bit less., or seeing you get it cheaper with a bundel deal.

How do you attach this to the rear wheel? My bike has a quick release back wheel and I can't see form the picture if it would fit?

Tempted too. Hate riding in the wind. Countryside access limited. When bike ain't on top form (may fail x miles from home). Avoid problematic punctures. Only thing putting me off is my aggression on a bike. I crank the bike side to side and use my body and arms as well as my legs to push the pedals round most of the time.
